1. Purpose of role:
The role will be responsible for period closing activities, fixed asset management, intercompany transactions, bank transactions, balance sheet reconciliation, financial and management reporting, and local statutory and tax support for WPP subsidiaries in APAC Countries.

2. Key Results / Accountabilities
Record to Report:
- Ensure the team’s accurate and timely delivery of general accounting and reporting, fixed assets, statutory accounting and direct and indirect tax services (i.e. journal postings, RTR maintenance, report preparation, reconciliations, tax submissions, etc.) in accordance with SLAs and compliance with WPP policies, SOP and Internal control (SOX).
- Track KPI - ensure the deliverables’ quality and timeliness meet the requirements per SLAs.
- Oversee the month-end RTR process to ensure the timely completion of closing and reporting.
- Manage escalation from cross-functional teams or stakeholders.
- Involved in a service review meeting with stakeholders to present the SLAs, open and outstanding issues.
- Liaise with external parties such as the auditor, tax agent and others.
Continuous Improvements:
- Implement best practices and proactively identify, propose and implement continuous improvement opportunities in existing processes within the team.
Leadership and People:
- Provide RTR-related advice and information to staff and be the first level of escalation party to assist the staff in resolving the daily operational issues.
- Regularly track and resolve outstanding issues and escalate to the Function Lead and the Management Team if required.
- Develop a work culture that fosters competence, service excellence and customer focus and business process knowledge.
- Train new team members and share knowledge and job experience.
Others:
- Opportunity to perform and involve transition activities with the Project Team.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Function Lead or the Management Team.
What you'll need:
3. Qualification & Experience and Competencies
Qualification & Experience
- A Bachelor's Degree in Finance & Accounting or related field, and professional qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA etc).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in RTR operations.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of SOX Compliance norms relating to the process.
- Shared service centre experience.
- Experience in using an ERP system.
