Why we're hiring:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst to join the WPP Open team. This pivotal role is central to ensuring clarity, efficiency, and scalability across our digital operating system. You will work together with a Process Designers, Prompt Engineers, architects and other domain experts globally to define, document, and optimize the very fabric of how WPP Open functions.
What you'll be doing:
- Process Optimization & Design: Analyze, optimize, and design core business processes, translating disparate processes and system structures into clear, actionable requirements and user stories.
- Requirements Expert: Elicit, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements, user stories, and process flows, with a strong focus on operational efficiency and user experience.
- Agile Collaborator: Work closely with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to define, refine, and prioritize features and epics across the product lifecycle, ensuring process integrity.
- Solution Architect: Collaborate with engineering, design, and systems teams to create conceptual and logical solution architectures for problem statements, emphasizing scalable and integrated designs.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Coordinate effectively with diverse stakeholders, bridging communication between business, engineering, design, and systems teams to ensure alignment on process and solution design.
- Quality Advocate: Support testing and ensure delivered solutions meet defined requirements and contribute to optimized workflows.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a software development environment, preferably within an Agile/Scrum framework.
- Proven experience in eliciting, analyzing, and documenting complex business and functional requirements.
- Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience in defining user stories, features, and epics, and working with product backlogs.
- Ability to contribute to and understand solution architecture concepts, including system integrations, data flows, and technical dependencies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency with business analysis tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Bonus Points If You Have:
- Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, CSPO, or CSM.
- Experience in in product development
- Familiarity with cloud native platforms e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP & Salesforce
- Experience with UX/UI principles and design thinking.
