Why we're hiring:
WPP is embarking on a significant Finance transformation, and we require a highly experienced and visionary Head of Finance - Global Process Owner(GPO) to drive this change. This critical leadership role will be responsible for architecting, optimising, and governing all end-to-end Finance processes across our global Shared Services Centres (SSC) and agency operations. Reporting directly to the Global Head of SSC, you will be instrumental in defining WPP's future financial landscape.
What you'll be doing:
- Strategic Process Design: Spearhead the end-to-end design and continuous optimisation of global Finance processes (Order-to-Cash [O2C], Procure-to-Pay [P2P], Record-to-Report [R2R]) to deliver scalability, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Global SSC Integration & Governance: Oversee the establishment and robust governance of Finance processes across all SSC and agency environments, ensuring consistent global standards.
- Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, onboard, and lead a high-performing team of Global Process Leads for O2C, P2P, and R2R, fostering clear accountability and a results-driven culture.
- Robust Governance & Control: Establish and enforce comprehensive governance frameworks, including Service Level Agreements (SLAs), audit controls, documentation standards, and chargeback structures, to ensure process integrity and mitigate risk.
- Transformation & Innovation Roadmap: Develop and drive a strategic roadmap for continuous process improvement, leveraging automation, advanced analytics, and leading industry best practices.
- Enterprise-Wide Collaboration: Drive critical cross-functional partnerships with IT, HR, and other service lines to ensure integrated enterprise transformation. Collaborate closely with Risk and Control teams to embed and maintain robust risk-focused controls and compliance requirements.
What you will bring:
- Education & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required; Master’s degree and/or a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) highly preferred.
- Extensive Experience: Significant leadership experience in Finance operations, with a demonstrated focus on end-to-end process ownership (O2C, P2P, R2R).
- Global Process Expertise: Proven track record of successfully designing, implementing, and optimising standardised global finance processes to drive efficiency, compliance, and scalability.
- Transformation Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver complex, large-scale transformation projects in fast-paced, global environments.
- Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of Finance process KPIs, regulatory compliance, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
- Strategic Mindset: Exceptional leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities, coupled with a results-driven mindset and the capacity to navigate complex organisational landscapes.

- Change Agility: A seasoned change leader with a strong track record of successfully driving organisational change, embedding new processes, and fostering adoption across diverse teams.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficient in leveraging analytics and data insights to solve complex problems, identify opportunities, and inform strategic decision-making.
