The Opportunity: We are seeking a Lead Product Owner to drive comprehensive product delivery planning for a group of capabilities within WPP Open. You will translate strategic vision into a +6-month delivery strategy and high-level roadmap, leading high-level discovery and providing strategic direction to Senior and Product Owners. This role ensures operational readiness, measurable impact, and successful product value realization, collaborating closely with the Director of Product Ownership, engineering leads, and senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Roadmapping: Translate strategic vision into comprehensive +6-month delivery strategies and high-level roadmaps for a group of capabilities. Lead product discovery and provide strategic guidance to Senior and Product Owners.
- Delivery & Alignment: Drive comprehensive delivery planning, aligning with broader product strategy. Collaborate with Engineering and Product Design, facilitating cross-team prioritization and dependency management across multiple development teams.
- Operational Readiness: Develop and execute comprehensive rollout strategies. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (enablement, marketing, sales, support) to ensure operational readiness for product launches and mitigate risks.
- Stakeholder Management: Proactively engage and influence diverse senior stakeholders to gather feedback, clarify strategic intent, build consensus, and effectively communicate product progress and strategic plans.
- Performance & Value: Define and track KPIs for delivery efficiency and realized value. Ensure product outcomes contribute directly to business KPIs, driving continuous iteration and improvement based on data and user insights.
What you'll need:
- Extensive Product Ownership experience, with demonstrable leadership in strategic delivery planning.
- Proven ability to translate strategic vision into actionable plans and high-level roadmaps for multiple capabilities.
- Experience leading high-level product discovery and guiding other Product Owners.
- Deep expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) at scale, focused on iterative delivery.
- Leadership, influence, and alignment skills across cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset, using data and insights for process improvement and continuous product iteration.
- Demonstrable experience with comprehensive rollout strategies, product launches, and ensuring operational readiness.
