Why we're hiring:

The Opportunity: We have a new opportunity for a dedicated Sourcing Specialist to join our Global Talent Acquisition team. You will be mapping talent ecosystems and proactively engaging top-tier professionals directly supporting our Talent Acquisition delivery team and shaping the future of WPP.

As a Global Talent Sourcing Specialist you will be at the forefront of our talent intelligence efforts, leveraging cutting-edge tools and innovative strategies to build robust pipelines of passive and non- passive candidates who will drive WPP’s transformation journey.

You will be a proactive, market-savvy sourcer with a keen eye for exceptional talent across crucial domain. Your primary responsibility will be to identify, attract, and qualify candidates, building deep talent pipelines and providing critical market insights to our Delivery Partners. This is a role for someone who loves the hunt, thrives on discovery, and is passionate about connecting brilliant minds with impactful opportunities across both technical and strategic talent pools.

What you'll be doing:

  • Strategic Sourcing & Talent Mapping: Develop and execute advanced, multi-channel sourcing strategies to identify passive candidates for a broad range of roles, including:
  • Market Intelligence & Research: Conduct in-depth market research to understand talent landscapes, identify competitor organizations, track industry trends, and provide actionable insights to inform talent strategies and employer branding efforts for both technical and strategic talent.
  • Pipeline Generation: Proactively build and maintain robust talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs across all relevant skill sets, ensuring a diverse pool of qualified candidates is always available.
  • Candidate Identification & Qualification: Utilize a variety of sourcing tools and platforms (LinkedIn Recruiter, HireEz, X-Ray search, tech communities, industry forums, professional networks) to identify profiles that match specific and niche requirements
  • Initial Candidate Engagement: Craft compelling, personalized outreach messages to engage passive candidates, articulate the unique WPP proposition across different role types, and gauge initial interest and qualifications
  • Collaboration & Handoff: Partner closely with Talent Acquisition Delivery Partners, providing support with initial candidate screening, market insights, and facilitating a seamless handoff of qualified and engaged candidates for their specialized pipelines.
  • Database Management: Accurately track and manage candidate information, sourcing activities, and market intelligence within our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and CRM, ensuring data integrity and robust reporting capabilities.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of sourcing methodologies, tools, and best practices as a founding member of a new team, leveraging insights from both technical and strategic sourcing efforts.
  • Diversity & Inclusion: Actively seek out and engage candidates from diverse backgrounds, ensuring our pipelines reflect WPP's commitment to D&I across all talent segments.

What you'll need:

  • Proven Experience (3+ years): Dedicated experience in a global TA Sourcer role, with demonstrable success in sourcing IT roles (e.g. Cyber, Engineering, Technology Operations, IT Transformation) and Corporate Functions (e.g. HR, Finance, Procurement, Tax, Legal) within a fast-paced FTSE 100 organisation or leading consultancy environment
  • Sourcing Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in direct sourcing techniques, including advanced Boolean search, X-ray searching, social media sourcing, and comprehensive utilisation of LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Exceptional Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft engaging and persuasive outreach messages that resonate with highly sought-after passive talent from diverse professional backgrounds
  • Research & Analytical Skills: A curious and investigative mindset with the ability to dive deep into market trends, analyse talent pools, and identify emerging talent hotbeds for both technical and strategic roles.
  • Proactive & Self-Motivated: A high degree of initiative, able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, "builder" environment.
  • ATS/CRM Proficiency: Experience with modern Applicant Tracking Systems (e.g., Greenhouse, Workday) and CRM tools for pipeline management and reporting.
  • Collaborative Spirit: A team player who thrives on partnering with recruiters and hiring managers to achieve shared goals across different hiring specializations.
  • D&I Champion: A genuine commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in all sourcing efforts.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience in a global sourcing role, navigating diverse markets
  • A track record of contributing to employer branding initiatives for niche talent groups
  • Experience of AI tools and reporting
