Why we're hiring:

This position will become an integral part of a dynamic and growing US Indirect Taxes Center of Excellence at WPP, one of the top Advertising firms in the world.

In this role, you will enjoy a collaborative atmosphere and building of a new team to provide support to all US subsidiaries. You will also be involved in the implementation of new technology and development of existing processes.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage and review all US indirect tax filings including sales & use tax, gross receipts tax, personal property and Commercial Rent.
  • Provide excellent service to multiple US companies.
  • Ability to multitask and be involved in ad-hoc projects as needed.
  • Research and provide technical advice regarding indirect tax questions raised by US companies in a quick and efficient manner.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop staff members.
  • Monitor US indirect taxes legislative and regulatory changes and assessment of impact to required filings.
  • Responsible for monthly accruals and reconciliation of indirect tax accounts.
  • Handle and respond to notices and assist with tax audits including analyzing various transactions for auditor inquiries and gathering of requested data.
  • Work with Indirect Tax team members to determine economic nexus and required registrations for all US companies.
  • Collaborate with 3rd party vendor and technology teams in the implementation of a tax engine.

What you'll need:

  • A minimum of five years of Big 4 experience in indirect tax compliance and tax research.
  • The ideal candidate will be an experienced problem solver with excellent writing and communication skills in English.
  • Prior Indirect Tax management and Tax compliance experience using Tax software.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
