We are seeking an exceptional Senior Data Scientist to join our highly skilled team in Warsaw. You will play a pivotal role in developing a state-of-the-art system that leverages Bayesian statistics and advanced theoretical concepts to estimate and understand the size of marketing and advertising audiences.

Location Requirement

This is a hybrid role based in Warsaw, Poland. Candidates must currently reside in Warsaw, Poland or be willing to relocate independently to Warsaw, as relocation support is not provided for this position.

 

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop and implement Bayesian statistical models and other advanced analytical methods to estimate audience sizes and characteristics.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to design, build, and refine data-driven solutions.
  • Write high-quality, production-ready Python code including package development, unit testing, and documentation.
  • Work independently to solve complex mathematical and conceptual problems with minimal supervision.
  • Engage in productive, abstract discussions with team members to untangle nuanced issues and arrive at robust solutions.
  • Contribute to code repositories using Git and participate in code reviews and version control best practices.
  • Utilise cloud computing resources for scalable data processing and model deployment.
  • Handle diverse data formats and ensure data integrity throughout the analytics pipeline.
  • Adapt quickly to changing project requirements and priorities.

 

What you'll need:

  • Postgraduate-level knowledge in probability and statistics, with a strong foundation in Bayesian methods.
  • Advanced Python programming skills, including experience with building packages, unit testing, and handling multiple data formats.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex mathematical and statistical problems.
  • Resilience and confidence in facing difficult, open-ended challenges.
  • Adaptability to dynamic, fast-changing environments, ideally with experience in startup-like or high-pressure settings.
  • Ability to work independently and creatively, finding solutions to novel problems with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in discussing and resolving abstract or conceptual issues.
  • Familiarity with Git and repository management.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

The gross salary for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. This range reflects our broader group’s compensation framework across diverse agencies and disciplines. For this specific role, our offer will be determined within this range based on our internal benchmark, reflecting the specific market conditions for our discipline. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
