Why we're hiring:

The Treasury Manager will lead treasury operations across the US and Canada within a complex, fast-paced FTSE-listed organisation, partnering closely with the Group Treasury team in London. This is a high-impact role responsible for ensuring effective cash management, liquidity optimisation and treasury governance across the region, while supporting strategic business objectives.

Key responsibilities include cash flow forecasting, working capital management, FX risk oversight, surplus cash investment, bank relationship management and ensuring strong treasury controls. The role also plays a critical part in driving cash visibility, forecasting accuracy and operational efficiency across the business.

In addition to leading two direct reports, the Treasury Manager will provide functional oversight and influence across Shared Service Centre teams, working closely with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and wider finance stakeholders to improve treasury outcomes. Success in this role will require strong technical treasury expertise, sound commercial judgement, excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to deliver results through both direct leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead treasury operations across the US and Canada, overseeing cash management, liquidity, funding, cash flow forecasting, working capital and treasury governance.
  • Own regional cash flow forecasting, partnering with Shared Services and Finance leaders to improve accuracy, visibility and accountability.
  • Drive working capital performance, using treasury insights to support cash conversion, reduce funding requirements and enhance reporting.
  • Manage regional FX exposure, identifying risks, supporting hedging activities and ensuring compliance with Group Treasury policy.
  • Optimise surplus cash through appropriate investment and deposit strategies, balancing liquidity, risk and return objectives.
  • Partner with Shared Services teams to strengthen forecasting processes, cash visibility and treasury controls across AP, AR and payment activities.
  • Lead regional banking relationships, including account structures, cash pooling, bank rationalisation, mandates and KYC requirements.
  • Ensure robust treasury controls, governance and compliance, with a focus on fraud prevention, operational resilience and audit readiness.
  • Identify opportunities to improve balance sheet efficiency through cash repatriation, reduced idle cash and enhanced liquidity management.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and development for treasury team members, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team culture.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to simplify treasury operations, improve reporting and increase visibility of cash and financial risk.

Key Success Measures

  • Cash flow forecast accuracy and timeliness.
  • Improved working capital and cash conversion performance.
  • Reduced idle cash and increased cash pooling participation.
  • Effective management of FX exposures and policy compliance.
  • Optimised yield on surplus cash within approved risk parameters.
  • Banking efficiency, account rationalisation and control effectiveness.
  • High-quality service delivery, reporting accuracy and issue resolution across Shared Services.

What you'll need:

We're looking for a commercially minded treasury professional with the experience and confidence to operate in a complex, international business environment.

  • Significant treasury experience within a large, multinational corporate environment, ideally a Fortune 500, FTSE-listed or equivalent public company.
  • Strong expertise in cash management, liquidity structures, cash pooling, forecasting, intercompany funding and surplus cash management.
  • Experience working with or overseeing Shared Service Centre activities, including AP, AR, payments, collections and working capital processes.
  • Solid understanding of FX risk management, hedging principles, exposure analysis and treasury policy compliance.
  • A commercial mindset, with the ability to translate treasury activity into tangible business outcomes and performance improvements.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to coach, develop and manage high-performing teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience partnering with senior finance leaders, shared services teams, banks and corporate functions.
  • Strong analytical and systems capability, including treasury management systems, ERP platforms, banking platforms and advanced Excel skills.
  • A high level of control awareness, attention to detail and sound judgement in managing financial and operational risk.
  • A professional treasury or accounting qualification (ACT, CTP or equivalent) is preferred.
