Own the end-to-end target architecture for the entire Modern Workplace estate, spanning all four towers — Identity, Client Devices, Productivity Tools and Office Technology. This role provides the strategic, cross-tower technical coherence that cannot be outsourced: it sets the standards, patterns and guardrails that Kyndryl and the tower teams design, build and operate within, and ensures the workplace is secure, integrated, modern and future-ready as one connected employee experience.

What you'll be doing:

•    Define and own the target-state architecture for the whole Modern Workplace estate across Identity, Client Devices, Productivity Tools and Office Technology.
•    Set cross-tower architecture principles, standards, reference patterns and technology roadmaps.
•    Act as the design authority for all major and cross-tower workplace change.
•    Architect the integration across towers — identity-led security, devices, collaboration and meeting-room/voice services — into one coherent, seamless employee experience.
•    Embed security-by-design, zero-trust, resilience, accessibility, data protection and total cost of ownership across every domain.
•    Assure that Kyndryl-delivered designs and changes align to WPP architecture and standards across all four towers.
•    Own the workplace technology strategy, build-vs-buy decisions and horizon-scanning for emerging capability, including AI in the workplace.
•    Advise the Modern Workplace Director and all tower heads, aligning the architecture to WPP business and agency priorities.
•    Set the architecture, patterns and guardrails that Kyndryl implements and operates within.
•    Assure that partner-delivered designs and changes meet WPP security, resilience and standards.
•    Act as design authority and approval gate for partner architecture decisions.

What you'll need:

•    Enterprise architecture spanning the full digital-workplace estate — identity, device/endpoint, collaboration & productivity, and office/meeting-room & voice technologies.
•    Proven cross-domain architecture leadership across an end-to-end workplace estate at global scale.
•    Architecture frameworks and modelling (e.g. TOGAF) applied pragmatically.
•    Security-by-design, zero-trust and data-protection architecture for the workplace.
•    Integration and platform architecture across cloud (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace), endpoint and identity ecosystems.
•    Strong communication and influence with engineering, vendor and executive audiences.
•    Recognised architecture experience in the relevant domain at enterprise scale.
•    Relevant architecture or platform certifications (e.g. TOGAF or vendor architect tracks).
•    Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.•    Sets the target architecture, standards and design patterns for the domain.
•    Designs for security, scale, resilience and total cost of ownership.
•    Influences engineering and vendor teams without direct authority.
•    Balances strategic ambition with pragmatic, deliverable decisions.
•    Stays current with platform direction and emerging capability.
