Role Summary and Impact
WPP Media Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join our client team. In this role, you will take ownership of media plan development and client communication. You will be responsible for translating client objectives into strategic, integrated media plans, presenting them confidently, and driving campaign performance through insightful analysis and optimization.
Core Responsibilities:
Strategic Media Planning: Lead the development of integrated media strategies and plans, providing clear strategic rationale and aligning recommendations with client business objectives.
Client Relationship Management: Act as a primary day-to-day client contact, building trusted relationships, leading client meetings, and presenting media plans and performance reviews.
Campaign Optimization & Insights: Drive in-depth campaign analysis, delivering actionable insights and strategic recommendations for optimization to improve performance and achieve client KPIs.
Team Mentorship: Guide and support Media Executives and Planners, reviewing their work to ensure accuracy and quality, and fostering their professional development.

Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in media planning, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful campaigns.
- In-depth knowledge of the full media ecosystem, including digital and offline channels.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent presentation and client management skills, with the ability to articulate complex strategies clearly.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and take ownership of deliverables.
- Experience in guiding or mentoring junior team members.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a plus.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience working in a matrixed organization.
- Knowledge of WPP Media brands and capabilities.
- Experience contributing to new business pitches.
