1. Drive cutting-edge campaigns for IBM, a pioneer leader in AI and technology, across multiple APAC markets and diverse media channels (display, audio, video, pDOOH) to create measurable business impact.
2. Partner with EightBar, IBM, and WPP teams to develop and implement comprehensive media strategies that span the entire customer journey, seamlessly integrating awareness, consideration, and conversion tactics.
3. Be at the forefront of marketing for artificial intelligence, while pioneering new media planning approaches that shape the future of digital advertising.
3 months:
- Understand IBM's media planning budget allocation, financial tracking systems, and invoice reconciliation processes to ensure accurate billing.
- Develop expertise in IBM's media billing protocols, budget management frameworks, and financial reporting requirements for proper invoice processing.
- Set up efficient budget tracking mechanisms for initial media campaigns, demonstrating fiscal responsibility through precise financial reporting, timely invoice processing, and proactive budget management.
- Become proficient in using media planning tools to develop strategic recommendations aligned with campaign objectives.
6 months:
- Analyze historical media performance data to develop customized planning roadmaps that align with IBM's business objectives, focusing on audience targeting and platform optimization while delivering data-backed plans directly to clients.
- Provide regular optimizations and actionable insights on targeting strategies, creative effectiveness, and audience engagement, while training junior team members on analysis and reporting best practices.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders (IBM, WPP teams, platform vendors), establish efficient vendor management and negotiation processes, and maintain detailed project timelines with clear deliverables for all campaigns.
12 months:
- Collaborate with internal teams to define IBM's annual media planning strategy, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
- Drive innovation in media planning processes, audience targeting, and technology adoption to stay ahead of industry trends.
- Establish a standardized framework for generating actionable insights from campaign data to continuously improve media performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Launch, traffic, QA, and analyze media campaigns across platforms, including display, audio, video, and pDOOH.
- Develop and implement strategic media recommendations using planning tools.
Track, analyze, and optimize campaign metrics to improve media performance. - Generate actionable insights from campaign data to inform strategy.
- Develop, track, and optimize campaign budgets across all formats.
- Provide bi-weekly performance reports to client teams focused on KPIs.
- Manage the dynamic creative optimization (DCO) framework in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Develop audience strategies using data signals and inventory planning.
- Participate in campaign brainstorming sessions to develop innovative strategies.
- Ensure compliance with brand safety benchmarks and inventory quality standards.
- Maintain vendor relationships to stay ahead of platform updates and innovations.
- Manage financial aspects of campaigns including developing, tracking, and optimizing budgets; reviewing, verifying, and processing vendor invoices; and generating regular financial reports and reconciliations.
Skills and Experience
- 2-3 years of practical experience in media planning/activation.
- Strong understanding of media buying and planning platforms.
- Proficiency in data analysis and applying insights to media strategies.
- Experience with budget management and financial reporting.
- Solid knowledge of tracking and tagging methods.
- Ability to develop and maintain project timelines with clear deliverables.
- Strong collaborative skills to work effectively across teams and stakeholders.
- Adaptability and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Keen interest in the advertising/media industry and emerging trends.
- Ability to review and evaluate media partner proposals effectively to meet campaign business objectives
