The Role
Location: Sydney
The connections planning team at Open Era bridges the gap between our strategy and investment teams. Our role is to turn insightful strategies into actionable media plans that deliver growth for Suncorp. Connections planners think big picture, collaborating with multiple teams, stakeholders and agencies to ensure campaigns are fully integrated.
- Lead Market-Leading Campaigns: Take the helm on planning responses, developing future-fit, integrated campaigns for Suncorp's powerhouse brands like AAMI and GIO.
- Craft the Complete Customer Story: Lead the creation of consumer journey maps, orchestrating seamless experiences across paid, owned, earned, shared, and retail touchpoints.
- Drive Strategic Client Partnerships: Build and nurture strong relationships with senior marketing clients and media partners, acting as a key advisor and delivering inspiring updates on new opportunities.
- Champion Integrated Media: Lead the "agency village" to deliver truly integrated campaigns, ensuring brand and performance media work together to achieve ambitious objectives.
- Mentor the Next Generation: As a senior leader, you'll play a crucial role in developing junior team members, fostering a cohesive environment and training them to reach their full potential.
Ideal Skills and Experience
You’ll thrive in this role if you have a great attitude and attention to detail. We’re also looking for;
- An Advanced Media Strategist: With several years of experience, you have a proven track record of planning, delivering, and measuring effective, complex media campaigns.
- A Natural Leader & Mentor: You are passionate about developing talent and have a gift for motivating teams, fostering a collaborative culture, and leading client communications with confidence.
- A Full-Funnel Thinker: You have a sophisticated understanding of how brand and performance media work in harmony and are well-versed in applying data, eCommerce, and marketing science to your planning.
- An Innovative Problem-Solver: You are driven to find creative and disruptive solutions, with a keen ability to interrogate briefs and uncover the insights that unlock growth.
- A Master Collaborator: You excel at leading campaigns with multiple stakeholders and have a strong ability to build influential relationships with clients, media partners, and internal teams.

What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary package, with 20 days holiday increasing with service to a maximum of 25 days, with the option to purchase extra leave of up to 4 weeks per year. We also offer a flexible working environment, paid parental leave, flexible public holidays, birthday leave and early finishes during the summer months.
