Role Summary and Impact

The KOL Planning Lead Partner is a senior strategic role responsible for driving the development of content and influencer marketing strategies and plans. This position serves both as a service/product for clients and as a growth engine for WPP Media's digital business.

Responsibilities of the role:

Strategic Planning 

  • Lead strategic planning for new business pitches or entire client business unit
  • Set the correct planning framework and methodology
  • Develop overall content landscape and trends mining
  • Unify Share of voice planning across teams
  • Set new planning methodologies by identifying new trends per channel platform and define the right KOL mix to achieve content plan objectives
  • Supervise Content Planning Manager and Executives to define the right KOL Content plan messaging aligned with brand objectives
  • Supervise Content Planning Group Head and Managers in monitoring campaign phasing versus budget and ambition
  • Develop the right template for KOL briefing and content plan, supervise KOL brief and content idea/ messaging
  • Supervise KOL content plan quality, ensuring standardization and templates applied

Account Planning

  • Set the ways of working on account planning and regular client stakeholder
  • Liaise with senior client stakeholders to set annual ambition and plans
  • Ensure client satisfaction on brand’s performance
  • Lead regular client interaction and monthly performance review

Commercial Planning

  • Determine the cost and value for each of the projects
  • Ensure zero overspend per campaign plan
  • Support Managing Director and GOAT Trading lead in managing costs with Buying team based on budgets
  • Support Managing Director and GOAT Trading Lead in ensuring budget spend tracker is 100% updated and no overspends

Best Practice and Innovations

  • Identify new tools, practices to drive competitive advantage for GroupM planning
  • Lead in developing new case studies or portfolio that can establish the value of the service
  • Set new innovations on planning and practice for influencer marketing

 

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree is a requirement
  • 10+ years relevant experience in advertising agency, PR agency, social media agency or influencer marketing agency
  • Strong analytical skills and possess a strong ability to turn data into actionable insights
  • Have a good understanding of Influencer marketing ecosystem
  • Have a good understanding of how to develop insights for consumer, trends, industry and competition
  • Have a good understanding of the digital marketing industry and social media technology.
  • Able to lead a team or a business unit and work with minimum supervision.
  • Able to read, write and speak in English effectively
  • Able to work in a highly multicultural environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
