Role Summary and Impact 

Own and optimize WPP Media’s global financial operations framework, ensuring accurate hub-billing, tax and FX treatment across multiple jurisdictions. Lead invoice and PO processing, variance analysis and reporting tool management. Partner with local markets and internal stakeholders to resolve escalations, enforce controls and drive continuous automation. Provide expert support for audits, risk assessments and new-business pitches to safeguard compliance and scale best practices. 

Key responsibilities 

Complex Hub Billing Management & Compliance 

  • Oversee sophisticated hub billing arrangements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ensure compliance with withholding tax, sales tax and FX requirements.
  • Understand tax-reclaim processes and coordinate with legal and tax advisors.

Financial Operations & Reporting 

  • Lead PO processes, invoice register management and approval workflows.
  • Conduct detailed budget vs. forecast vs. billing variance analysis.
  • Maintain and optimize budget and forecast reporting tools.

Client Relationship & Communication 

  • Lead regular client calls, prepare agendas and manage action-item follow-up.
  • Maintain communication with key stakeholders on financial operations matters.
  • Manage escalations and ensure SLA compliance for issue resolution.

Process Development & Strategic Support 

  • Partner with the Director on process design, system integration and reporting templates.
  • Lead automation initiatives, knowledge management and best-practice implementation.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls and conduct risk assessments.
  • Supervise and mentor finance operations analysts and support audit requirements.
  • Provide financial operations expertise during new-business pitches and presentations as required.

  • Strong financial acumen with advanced analytical and quantitative skills 
  • Expert proficiency in Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables). 
  • Understanding of withholding tax, VAT/sales tax, multi-currency FX and hub-billing models. 
  • Proven problem-solver with continuous improvement mindset and automation expertise. 
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and client-service orientation. 
  • Collaborative leader skilled in knowledge management, training delivery and change management. 
  • Experienced in risk assessment, internal controls and compliance implementation. 
  • Effective project manager with multitasking capabilities and attention to detail. 
  • Proven track record in variance analysis, financial reporting, process optimization and automation 
  • Proficiency in Excel
