Role Summary and Impact 

The Senior Executive, People Operations is a pivotal role at WPP Media, responsible for the meticulous and compliant administration of core HR functions, including accurate record-keeping, payroll, benefits, and total rewards support. This position is critical to ensuring the smooth operational flow of our dynamic business and directly impacts the employee experience by providing essential support and fostering a trusted, efficient environment.

Measures of Success

In Three Months, You Would Have:

  • Developed a thorough understanding of WPP Media's teams and their functions.
  • Started building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Managed vendor relationships for payroll and insurance.
  • Independently handled payroll and leave-related queries.

In Six Months, You Would Have:

  • Mastered the administration of confidential master documents, staff databases, and payroll, ensuring they are audit-ready.
  • Gained a solid understanding of HR operations supporting the employee experience.
  • Built strong, trusting relationships with team members and the wider Group.

Responsibilities of the Role

  • Maintain and manage accurate human resources records, including new hires, transfers, terminations, job classification changes, merit increases, and leave tracking.
  • Assist with general payroll and leave requests.
  • Prepare monthly reports for finance, including salary reconciliation, journal vouchers, and payroll reports.
  • Independently manage yearly taxation and equity reporting.
  • Handle leave forfeiture and queries.
  • Manage benefits-related queries and year-end census activities.
  • Support total rewards processes, including stock plans, job architecture activities, and merit cycles.
  • Liaise with PwC for tax reporting and expat management.
  • Oversee end-to-end onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Administer organizational charts, training databases, and staff lists.
  • Ensure payroll compliance with statutory requirements by liaising with government agencies 

What You Will Need

  • 4+ years of experience in HR administration and payroll.
  • Previous experience in a media agency (desirable but not necessary).
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across all levels.
  • Adaptability to different working styles and fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
