As an Account Manager you are responsible for managing the day to day operations for your client. You will work with the client team & specialist teams in EMC to ensure the output from EMC is of a consistent high quality and that, for responses to brief, the strategic approach flows seamlessly through all facets of the brief response. You will support your Business Director / Account Director, and ensure we deliver an excellent standard of service and that deadlines are met. You will be curious, passionate, about your clients business so as to unearth & develop business challenges into solutions that will drive our business forward.
You will support the account executives and coordinators ensuring we deliver an excellent standard of service and that all deadlines and deliverables are met. You will be curious and passionate about your clients business so as to unearth & develop business challenges into solutions that will drive our business forward. Your remit will span across digital and traditional media, with the opportunity to grow in both areas. You must have intermediate experience in media implementation and be proficient in planning/buying all media channels.
Key Deliverables:
PEOPLE
- Organises self and junior members of the team to deliver client work that consistently meets or exceeds the clients and Essencemediacom’s expectations in line with agency processes.
- Communicates consistently and professionally with clients and team.
- Ability to work well with others and builds strong, collaborative relationships with internal departments, investment and client teams
PARTNERS
- Runs client WIPs and follows/delegates tasks and responsibilities
- Delivers error-free work to clients on time alongside the wider Client Leadership team
- Leads some client relationships with support from AD/BD
PRODUCT
- Runs campaigns end to end
- Follows the Essencemediacom planning philosophy and process framework alongside the wider team
- Ensures quality and timely work output across the set client portfolio as directed, to specifically meet clients’ business requirements as relevant
PROFIT
- Ensures accurate billing and responsible for monthly billing to clients
- Begins an understanding of commercial requirements for key clients

Knowledge and skills
- 2+ years’ media agency experience
- Strong knowledge of the NZ media market, and a healthy interest in major Global markets
- Knowledge of the media ecosystem and how it operates
