Partner – Digital Commerce Delivery Lead
WPP is looking for an experienced and highly skilled DCom Performance Marketing Delivery Lead to oversee end-to-end implementation, optimisation and scale of commerce media across marketplaces, beauty retail and quick commerce platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise across Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, Purplle, Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart, as well as strong understanding of off-platform performance including Google Search, PMax, Demand Gen, Shopping, YouTube, Meta CPAS/A+SC, Amazon DSP.
This role leads a high-performance team delivering outcomes across one of India’s largest commerce mandates.
Reporting of the Role: This role reports to the Digital Commerce & Performance Lead
Measures of Success
In three months,
- Complete understanding of category benchmarks, marketplace mechanics and client business KPIs.
- Full grip on team structure, workflows, SOPs and campaign governance processes.
- Hands-on with optimisation levers across all key platforms (marketplaces, Q-com, Google, Meta).
- Running weekly governance reviews with clear action plans and delivery tracking.
- Begin showcasing POVs in internal discussions and client forums.
In six months,
- Set the operational vision for commerce performance delivery with clear quarterly goals.
- Establish automation guardrails (Pacvue/1DS/rules) and scale structured test-and-learn programs.
- Strengthen team capability via coaching, platform certifications and QA discipline.
- Drive integrated planning with Strategy, Content and Digital Shelf teams.
- Build strong working relationships with HUL brand, media and commerce stakeholders.
- Deliver consistent improvements in RoAS/TACoS and scale spends per plan.
In 12 months,
- Set benchmark standards for execution excellence across all commerce platforms.
- Build a high-performing, motivated, well-trained team delivering zero-slippage operations.
- Institutionalise best practices, measurement frameworks and integrated performance playbooks.
- Lead quarterly business reviews with strategic recommendations and impact narratives.
- Deliver predictable performance improvement and contribute meaningfully to annual revenue outcomes
Responsibilities of the Role
1. Performance Execution & Delivery
- Own end-to-end implementation, pacing, optimisation and scaling across:
Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, Purplle, Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart,
and off-platform: Google Search, PMax, Demand Gen, Shopping, YouTube; Meta CPAS/A+SC; Amazon DSP. - Translate strategic plans into structured execution with measurable KPIs.
2. Governance, QA & Process Rigor
- Enforce SOPs, SLAs and QA checks across campaign setup, pacing, and optimisation.
- Lead business reviews, commerce media analyses and test-and-learn forums.
- Ensure error-free execution and proactive issue detection across platforms.
3. AI-led Bid Optimisation & Automation
- Own and drive automation strategy across Pacvue, 1DS, platform-native rules and bulk operations.
- Design rule strategies, eligibility criteria, exception handling protocols and experimentation roadmaps.
- Monitor automation impact, run pre/post analysis and standardise automation playbooks.
4. Optimisation & Growth
- Oversee and guide team on daily and weekly optimisation of budgets, bids, keywords/SKUs, audiences, creatives and feeds.
- Activate AMC signals and advanced measurement for deeper optimisation.
- Identify unlocks across CVR, CPCs, OOS, velocity, ranking, share of search, digital shelf metrics.
- Drive business growth through on-platform performance + coordinated off-platform activation.
5. Analytics, Measurement & Reporting
- Maintain unified delivery dashboards and orchestrate timely reporting.
- Lead incrementality tests (geo/split) and quantify impact of performance interventions.
- Translate data into actionable insights with clear next-step recommendations.
6. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Strategy for annual/quarterly plans & tool adoption pilots.
- Proactively engage with platform partners for betas, learning agendas and optimisation unlocks.
Team Leadership
- Lead 5 direct reports (total ~30 team), driving capability, clarity and high-quality output.
- Drive QA reviews, and capability-building interventions.
- Build a strong, collaborative, high-ownership culture.
What You Will Need
- 7–12 years of experience in commerce performance marketing across marketplaces, beauty retail and Q-commerce.
- Deep working knowledge of Amazon Ads, Flipkart Ads, Myntra, Nykaa, Purplle, Blinkit, Zepto, Instamartecosystems.
- Strong exposure to Google (Search, PMax, Demand Gen, Shopping, YouTube) and Meta (CPAS, A+SC).
- Proven experience managing large-scale campaign delivery teams (20–30+).
- Strong analytical skills with ability to triangulate data signals and drive actionable insights.
- Experience implementing automation via tools like Pacvue, 1DS, platform rules/scripts/bulk operations.
- Excellent client management, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to build governance, set process rigor, and deliver consistent operational excellence.
- Hunger to learn, test, optimise and continuously improve.
