About the Role: As a Senior Associate, Growth, you will be instrumental in assisting growth and pitch teams with the planning, development, and coordination of department activities. This role involves taking greater ownership of workstreams and outputs, contributing to the development and execution of questionnaire responses and pitch presentations. You will manage logistics for pitch meetings, coordinate internal and external resources, and build comprehensive Company Backgrounders. Serving as a scribe for meetings, you'll prepare and share recaps to keep teams on track, ensuring all outputs meet WPP Media's high standards of quality. This position also benefits from ongoing coaching, feedback, and career development planning within the Pitch Engine.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate End-to-End Pitch Process:
  • Support the development, coordination, and execution of new business materials, including credentials decks, team bios, and videos.
  • Compile and share employee and client bios during live rehearsals.
  • Act as a liaison between pitch teams and designers.
  • Assist with pitch deck edits, tracking changes, tagging owners, and coordinating with design for updates.
  • Update the Growth team status Excel to track progress across workstreams.
  • Pull first-round answers for RFI/RFP written responses.
  • Prepare thorough, accurate, and well-organized Company Backgrounders (covering 5Cs: Company, Culture, Category, Consumer, Communications, plus Client Bios).
  • Request, gather, research, and analyze client intelligence data.
  • Leverage AI tools for compelling insights to enhance backgrounders and written responses.
  • Provide timely and accurate recaps of pitch team meetings with clear owners and next steps.
  • Follow up with team members to ensure timely completion of next steps.
  1. Execute on Leadership's Vision for a Tailored, Compelling Pitch Narrative:
  • Read and understand content and case studies that contribute to the overall pitch narrative.
  • Set Google News notifications to receive ongoing client news.
  • Post updates to the Teams Channel and provide weekly recaps.
  • Proactively support teams with ongoing company news and intelligence.
  • Assist with concept development and execution of pitch theater to deliver compelling pitch experiences.
  • Coordinate and manage pitch rooms, including internal work sessions for IT, AV, catering, and pitch theater setup.
  1. Integrate Teams Across the Organization:
  • Build relationships with leadership Executive Assistants, facilities, and WPP IAT growth managers and associates.
  • Ensure appropriate IAT team leads are included in relevant meetings.
  • Support cross-functional alignment between disciplines during pitch execution.
  1. Mentor and Support Junior Team Members:
  • Serve as a role model for Associates, demonstrating best practices and a high-performance mindset.
  • Reinforce a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  1. Contribute Feedback and Observations to Optimize Processes:
  • Share learnings, recommendations, and observations from the pitch process to inform future pitches and drive efficiencies.
  • Ensure final pitch files are saved into the Growth Hub, and copies of key sections are extracted and saved for future responses.
  • Be a content champion, directing Growth Team members to "best of" pieces of work including written responses, case studies, and credentials.
  1. Create Flawless, High-Impact Client Outputs:
  • Support team development of all deliverables, ensuring they meet "What Great Work Looks Like" standards (as defined by agency leadership), leveraging WPP Open OMS, OI, AI, and DPAM.
  • Contribute to clear, quantified growth approaches.
  • Help develop sophisticated audience strategies tied to audience insights.
  • Support impactful strategies with a fresh POV.
  • Assist with rigorous media plans, including clear plan parameters, principles, and omnichannel recommendations.
  • Ensure flawless activation tightly connected to business outcomes and strategy.
  • Contribute to connected measurement plans holistically linked to business outcomes and strategy.
  • Support breakthrough and original content ideas and media innovation.
  • Leverage AI tools for compelling insights for backgrounders and to improve written responses.
  1. Manage Multiple Projects:
  • Manage involvement in multiple pitch efforts, which may be at different stages.
  • Communicate with oversight managers on workload and bandwidth issues to help maintain all workstreams.
  • Seek additional educational resources and thought leadership in between pitches to expand understanding of best practices for growth and the media industry.
  1. Champion Our Growth Culture:

  • Support efforts to create a positive pitch experience for all pitch participants.

  • Support Group Directors and Directors on global new business pitches.
  • Provide connectivity to Global Growth colleagues during active pitches with open communication and updates.
  • Partner with leadership to ensure local market nuances are represented in pitch content.

You will engineer a repeatable pitch-winning system by capturing best practices, refining processes, and ensuring outputs meet the highest standards of quality. Furthermore, you will build early and enduring client relationships by delivering well-researched, high-quality pitch experiences that reflect WPP Media's brand excellence and inspire confidence.

 

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. $45,000 - $90,000 USD
