About the Role

The Solutions Group at WPP Media is seeking a Senior Associate, Workflow & Automation to connect technology platforms, operational workflows, and agency teams.

This role focuses on Tier 2 platform support and incident leadership, systems integration, and business analysis. Rather than developing standalone codebases or building platforms from the ground up, the Senior Analyst will support the reliability, efficiency, and accuracy of an integrated ecosystem spanning agency workflows, AI and automation capabilities, and enterprise systems.

This is an internal-facing role supporting teams across all WPP Media agency brands serving the US client roster. The position does not include direct external client-facing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Tier 2 Platform Support & Incident Leadership
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical and workflow issues requiring support beyond initial operational triage.
  • Investigate root causes across interconnected systems, reproduce technical defects, and assess business impact and urgency.
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to coordinate defect resolution and system enhancements, managing issues through closure.
  1. System Integrations & Workflow Analysis
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of how internal AI and automation tools integrate with external and enterprise platforms.
  • Translate operational challenges into clearly defined technical requirements and actionable workflow recommendations.
  • Collaborate with account teams to review existing procedures and implement more efficient, automated handoffs across platforms.
  1. Data Integrity & Pipeline Orchestration
  • Proactively monitor data flows between core platforms to support accurate and timely pipeline execution.
  • Identify, isolate, and resolve data discrepancies, synchronization failures, and formatting inconsistencies before they disrupt campaign operations.
  • Conduct data validation routines and audits to maintain consistency across interconnected tools.
  1. Enablement, Documentation & Training
  • Create and maintain clear, accessible process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), system architecture diagrams, and release notes in Confluence.
  • Develop and lead training sessions for internal agency stakeholders on platform changes, new features, and recommended workflows.
  • Promote adoption of standardized workflows and automation capabilities across agency teams.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

Core Platform Experience

  • Salesforce: Hands-on administration or advanced user experience with workflows, object architecture, record lifecycles, and data hygiene.
  • Jira & Confluence: Strong proficiency in Jira for advanced issue management, ticket triage, and workflow tracking, along with experience managing knowledge bases in Confluence.

Analytical & Self-Service Technical Skills

  • SQL: Ability to independently write and optimize queries to retrieve data, validate pipeline records, and audit database tables.
  • Python (Practical / Scripting Level): Working knowledge of Python to read scripts, manipulate and cleanse data (e.g., using pandas), and query APIs. Advanced software engineering and full-stack development expertise are not required.
  • Tableau / BI Tooling: Practical experience independently building ad hoc dashboards and operational reports to track issue trends, platform adoption, and data health, without relying on external BI teams.

Preferred & Desired Qualifications

  • Mediaocean Suite (Prisma, Radia): Experience in agency billing, media management, or Tier 1 or Tier 2 support for Mediaocean platforms is highly valued.
  • Cloud & Modern Tech Stack: Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure and GCP-hosted AI services is an advantage.
  • Agency Operations Background: Experience in media agency operations, media planning or buying operations, or ad-tech systems.
  • Strong diagnostic and analytical skills, with the ability to clarify complex operational problems and identify root causes.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical agency stakeholders.
