 In three months:

  • Comprehend WPP Media Solutions' platforms, product suite, and strategic positioning in the Indian programmatic landscape.
  • Establish foundational relationships with internal teams and client agency stakeholders.
  • Begin managing a portfolio of client accounts with proactive communication.

In six months:

  • Demonstrate consistent success in account management, strategic planning, and delivering measurable client outcomes.
  • Proactively identify client needs, contributing to account stability and growth.
  • Actively participate in initial new business discussions and proposal development.

In 12 months:

  • Develop and present long-term strategic roadmaps for client accounts, identifying growth opportunities and leveraging advanced programmatic solutions.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and best practices within the team.
  • Successfully contribute to the acquisition of new client accounts and expansion of existing business.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Strategic Client Partnership: Cultivate deep, strategic relationships with key clients and WPP agency stakeholders, acting as a trusted programmatic advisor.
  • Business Development: Actively identify, pursue, and support new business opportunities, including pitching WPP Media Solutions' capabilities to prospective clients and contributing to proposal development.
  • Solution Evangelism: Serve as the subject matter expert for WPP Media Solutions' advanced programmatic products and technology, educating clients and agencies on their value.
  • Programmatic Strategy & Planning: Lead the development of data-driven programmatic media strategies aligned with client business objectives and ROI.
  • Performance Management: Oversee campaign lifecycle, collaborating with trading, analytics, and ad operations for optimal setup, continuous optimization, and insightful reporting.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Provide in-depth performance analysis, actionable insights, and strategic recommendations to clients, articulating campaign value.
  • Account Growth: Drive organic growth within existing client accounts through strategic upsell and cross-sell of WPP Media Solutions' services.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate seamless communication across internal teams (Trading, Analytics, Product, Sales, Ad Operations) and external partners.
  • Market Expertise: Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and the competitive landscape in programmatic advertising, sharing insights internally.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure adherence to WPP Media Solutions' best practices and client service standards.

What you will need:

  • Experience: 3-5+ years in programmatic advertising, digital media, or client services (agency, ad tech, or media owner).
  • Programmatic Expertise: In-depth understanding of the programmatic ecosystem, including DSPs (e.g., DV360, The Trade Desk), SSPs, DMPs, ad servers, and various buying models.
  • Client Management & Business Acumen: Proven track record of managing and growing key client accounts, building long-term strategic partnerships, and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Analytical & Data Skills: Strong analytical acumen to interpret complex data, derive actionable insights, and present compelling recommendations.
  • Communication & Presentation: Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically, identify client challenges, and develop innovative, data-driven solutions.
  • Project Management: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Local Market Knowledge: Understanding of the Indian digital advertising landscape and local market nuances is highly desirable.
