Overview of job

WPP Media is the world's largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Non-Biddable Buying Manager to join us.

In this role, your duties will be varied and challenging. You will be responsible for the implementation and execution of traditional (TV, Non-TV & Non-biddable Digital) media campaigns for a portfolio of WPP Media Agency's clients.

Reporting of the role

This role reports to the GMS Non-Biddable Buying Team Lead.

In this role, your goals will be:

In three months:

  • Gained media knowledge across various platforms.
  • Well versed on the proprietary & industry tools within the agency.
  • Understanding of media behaviors and how the target audience interacts with traditional and non-biddable digital media.
  • Independently execute traditional media campaigns (such as TV, radio, OOH, Cinema and Non-Biddable Digital) for the assigned portfolio of clients.

In six months:

  • Understanding of clients' brand, WPP Media agency's deliverables and campaign KPIs.
  • Managed campaign to ensure seamless execution.
  • Understanding and 100% compliance with finance processes, GroupM policies and procedures.

In 12 months:

  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve and enhance clients' campaigns and advise WPP Media agencies accordingly.
  • Proactively propose media solutions to drive effective results for the business.
  • Continuously expand and share knowledge and understanding of new trends, media channels and technologies.

What your day job looks like at GroupM:

  • Buying/implementation of all campaigns upon receipt of signed IB, media plan/schedule.
  • Prepare detailed TV/Radio spots schedule.
  • Material copy requisition/media diary/copy instruction & extending material deadlines.
  • Request for proof of delivery/posting/execution/screenshots.
  • Post-buy analysis & reporting (TV & NB Digital).
  • Monitor contractual obligations and media spends.
  • Reconciliation of schedules and 3rd party invoice disputes (to work together with Agency Planner).
  • Accountability for buying efficiency.
  • Negotiation of annual media master contracts, deals or packages.

What you will bring:

  • A strong knowledge of all traditional and non-biddable digital media.
  • Self-confidence, good judgement, sound decision-making, flexibility, self-motivation and ability to challenge the status quo.
  • Organized with an ability to demonstrate implementation and adherence to processes.
  • Strive for excellence demonstrated by a commitment to continuous improvement, taking initiative and delivering results despite constraints.
  • Team player able to receive and provide feedback, thrive and collaborate in a cross-functional environment.

Minimum qualifications, desired knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • 5+ years in offline media planning and buying.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and possess a "can-do" attitude.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Passionate about Media and Advertising and eager to keep learning.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
