Role Summary and Impact
As part of the Global Operations Centre (GOC), you will work closely with teams across the United States, Europe, and Asia to deliver high-impact solutions in a collaborative, multicultural environment. We are looking for a Manager, Business Intelligence who will:
- Lead development and deployment of WPP Media reporting products and services across environments (Excel, PowerPoint, web-based dashboards).
- Deliver media performance reporting: extract datasets from multiple media platforms; perform hygiene and quality control using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) in partnership with Data Operations.
- Develop campaign measurement frameworks, including KPI alignment and creating/maintaining benchmarks.
- Own dashboards: develop, update, and maintain dashboards and visualizations; ensure accuracy, functionality, and timely resolution of issues and enhancement requests (e.g., new elements/data).
- Perform rigorous daily/weekly Data QA to identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies; ensure integrity across all reporting deliverables.
- Create, populate, and format recurring reporting deliverables (monthly/quarterly/wrap), flagging and correcting data issues (e.g., naming/mapping errors) and ensuring data and insights accurately represent campaign performance.
- Manage reporting playbook, operations calendar, and ensure all teams are accountable for relevant content and milestones.
- Support data integration: collaborate with BI, Investment, and Data Operations to integrate new data sources and requirements (parsing, benchmarks, mapping), including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementation of fixes.
- Assist with collection of partner-provided performance data.
- Maintain complete, current documentation of data processes/procedures and changes in logic/workflows.
- Drive continuous improvement: research platform capabilities and propose improvements to data quality, efficiency, and feasibility of new reporting asks.
- Facilitate data/reporting architecture discussions to ensure reporting products are optimally deployed with reliable availability and use of design features.
- Provide data engineering support (as needed): design/build/deploy ETL and data management processes with robust error/exception handling and rollback; provide production support for data loads and automate periodic reporting via custom queries/scripts (SQL/Python).
- Evaluate vendors/technologies and new advertising opportunities.
Skills and Experience
If this opportunity looks right for you, we are looking for candidates who have:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Advanced English level (B2–C2).
- Experience in analytics/BI working with large datasets (around 5 years is ideal, though years of experience may be flexible based on demonstrated skills and relevant background).
- Previous experience working in a media agency and with related tools.
- Hands-on Power BI experience (Tableau/Looker also valued).
- Familiarity with Google Campaign Manager, digital/social platforms, web analytics tools, and the technical side of advertising.
- Understanding of data architecture, data warehousing/data modeling, database design, ETL, and data governance/quality concepts.
- SQL preferred; Python (and/or R) a plus; ability to build dataflows/automation using SQL/Python.
- Basic cloud experience (Azure/GCP/AWS); building data pipelines a plus (e.g., Cloud Storage, Dataproc, Dataflow, CloudSQL, BigQuery).
- AI/ML-readiness (plus): experience processing/cleansing data for AI/ML purposes, designing, testing, and refining prompt architectures for generative AI models.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and project management tools (plus).
- Excellent written/verbal communication; strong cross-team collaboration, especially in offshore/onshore models.
- Additional desirable skills: tag management experience; application coding experience.
