Role Summary and Impact

As the Group Head – Client Commercial, you will act as a strategic finance partner, supporting client teams on commercial and financial matters while ensuring contractual compliance and delivering insightful financial analysis. You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, client profitability, billing governance, collections, contract management, and commercial reporting. Working closely with internal stakeholders and clients, you will help optimize financial performance, identify commercial opportunities, mitigate risks, and ensure the successful execution of client agreements. This role requires a proactive, analytical professional who thrives in a fast-paced, matrix organization and enjoys building trusted relationships with both internal teams and external clients.

Skill & Experience

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 7–10 years of experience in Commercial Finance, Client Finance, Business Finance, or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
  • Experience working within a global organization, preferably in the media, advertising, marketing services, or professional services industry.
  • Strong understanding of commercial finance, client contracts, revenue management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Experience supporting commercial negotiations, contract management, pricing, and financial governance.
  • Proven expertise in preparing client MIS, management reports, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Strong understanding of billing processes, revenue recognition, collections management, and incentive tracking.
  • Experience monitoring client profitability, charge-out rates, overhead recovery, and commercial performance.
  • Ability to manage client audits and ensure contractual and financial compliance.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence business leaders and build trusted client relationships.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Self-driven, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, matrix environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial insights clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and ownership, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
