Role Summary and Impact 

This role is within Openmind, a leading brand within WPP Media,is an integrated agency model drawing on talent from across WPP. It has been created to accelerate the European transformation for Nestlé’s media function. Core to the solution is the advanced best data and technology capabilities, fuelled by WPP’s investment in AI, to maximise the impact of Nestlé media investment.

Measures of success

In three months: 

• Understood the client business and the category they play in, and key drivers of growth

• Built a collaborative relationship with your clients, acting as the lead contact across your brands

• Embedded yourself into the internal team and understood the different specialist teams you work with

• Understood the key tools and processes critical to the everyday running of the account

 

 In six months:

• Led your own planning response from insight and strategy through to execution

• Project managed cross-media, category and industry leading campaigns

 

In 12 months:

• Worked closely with agency’s other specialist teams on at least one project

• Coached junior members of the team to achieve their goals

• Delivered a positive client performance rating on your brands and helped deliver a positive over-all score for the team

 

 Responsibilities of the role:

Lead the over-all strategic communication planning process that will address client’s business needs.

• Supervise team’s over-all output to ensure quality, accuracy and timeliness of deliverables

• Manage day-to-day client requirements through mentoring junior members of the team

• Appropriately delegate tasks to individual members of the team, ensuring that they are given adequate time, resources and training to perform the tasks.

• Conduct annual and interim appraisal of the team members in a thorough and professional manner.

• Build and maintain a productive relationship with client and team members

• Work with the client arrive at the best processes/ system for managing their business

• Work with other teams/departments to promote clients’ interest with strategically important media owners

• Take part in business development opportunities and provide insightful and comprehensive communications solutions for the agency and its clients. 

Skills and Experience 
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business or Research – related course

Work Experience

5-10 years media/ comms planning experience

Required Competencies: (Knowledge, Skills, and Attitude)

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Strong analytical and number skills

• Good understanding of media channels, both digital and traditional

• Passion for learning and openness to new challenges

• Must come with digital planning understanding
