About the Google Ads team

Google Ads is the largest of all of Google’s products. At MFG, we have a dedicated team of digital B2B and direct response (DR) experts across strategy, activation, planning, analytics, data strategy and client services. Our mission is to drive SMBs to spend their marketing budget within the Google Ads Portfolio (e.g. Google Ads, YouTube Ads etc).

About the Client Services team

The Client Services team is responsible for creating the conditions by which our clients love our work. We do this by building trust and exerting influence through deeper, more strategic relationships with our clients, and by driving, leading and owning the campaign delivery process. We also foster a culture of support and encouragement internally.

Position Summary:

Account Managers are responsible for executing the campaign delivery process and providing daily support to the wider account team, while also developing working relationships with clients and strong internal relationships with all teams. 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Client Satisfaction

  • Point of contact for clients ensuring client satisfaction is maintained throughout the campaign lifecycle and beyond
  • Develop and maintain a working-level understanding of Google Ads and the competitor landscape
  • Support the wider team in delivering an exceptional client experience during every agency interaction

Team Happiness

  • Ensure the wider team feel invested in, engaged with, cared for and are motivated to deliver their best work
  • Provide timely and actionable feedback to the team to aid in their development
  • Ensure the fun and support is brought into the day-to-day life on the account

Work Quality and Innovation

  • Interrogates the work and client deliverables on campaigns on behalf of the client to ensure they exceed expectations
  • Supports senior CS by maintaining up-to-date campaign project plans using WPPMedia tools and technology
  • Supports senior CS by maintaining the view on Campaign & Project Status ahead of time for internal huddles and client status meetings
  • Manages documentation & content within the best practice structure and conventions; ensure deliverables and assets are managed and shared with the relevant people
  • Support on the lifecycle of campaigns, from brief interrogation, brief response, creative delivery, and reporting; ensuring high standards throughout

Operational Excellence

  • Leverage key internal and external stakeholder relationships to assist teams in improving the campaign delivery process
  • Champion the use of automation and AI Tools to find efficiencies in processes and deliverables 

Skills and Experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with a keen ability to prioritise and multi-task
  • Ability to adhere to and meet deadlines and proven track record in managing client expectations
  • Proven problem solving skills and ability to think outside of the box for creative solutions - approach every situation with a solution-first mindset
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment
  • Detail oriented and responsive, deadline-driven with strong quantitative reasoning skills

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • Lead by example while motivating and coaching juniors on the wider team
  • Foster an environment for transparency and open communication
