Senior Content Designer

Nicosia
Wrike is the most powerful work management platform. Built for teams and organizations looking to collaborate, create, and exceed every day, Wrike brings everyone and all work into a single place to remove complexity, increase productivity, and free people up to focus on their most purposeful work.

Our vision:  A world where everyone is free to focus on their most purposeful work, together.

About the Role:

We're looking for a Senior Content Designer to lead the content strategy for many of our big projects that cross different product teams. This is a senior role where you'll work closely with Product, Engineering, Research, and Go-to-Market (GTM) teams. Your goal is to influence the product direction and make a real business impact by making sure our in-product stories are crystal clear. You'll be actively involved in creating content frameworks, getting everyone on the same page, and turning complex product features into simple, effective user experiences.

Team Dynamics:

The Wrike Product Design team has over 30 talented people, including product designers, UX researchers, content designers, UX architects, and UX leaders. Our team is spread across different locations in Europe, with the main office in Prague. We love to inspire each other, the wider company, and especially our customers. We’re part of cross-functional product teams, and we’re passionate about making our product simpler, more useful, more enjoyable, and truly impactful for the business.

Your Impact:

Your job is to focus on the big picture. Instead of writing every piece of small text (microcopy), you’ll empower the wider design team with great content strategy and storytelling skills so they can write their own best copy. To make this happen, you will:

  • Lead content strategy: Set the content direction for large, cross-functional projects—like the end-to-end workflows that power our solutions—to ensure content drives business results like user adoption, engagement, and trust.
  • Improve the practice: Help evolve our content processes and tools so designers and engineers can deliver high-quality, consistent content faster.
  • Define principles: Help create and communicate content strategy and principles that link product results directly to overall business goals.
  • Plan initiatives: Lead content planning for major strategic projects across multiple product areas, turning high-level roadmaps into clear, manageable content goals.
  • Shape AI experiences: Help define the strategy for how we use AI in the product, including prompt design, system messages, assistant responses, safety rules (guardrails), fallback messages, and clear explanations.

Working with Others

  • Build partnerships: Partner with product directors, engineering VPs, researchers, data analysts, and GTM leaders to agree on shared goals and efficient ways of working.
  • Facilitate alignment: Lead discovery and alignment workshops that bring designers, product managers, engineers, and GTM stakeholders together around outcomes and content decisions.
  • Advocate content: Champion the importance of content during roadmap prioritization and technical decisions, explaining the business impact of content choices.

Execution & Craft

  • Design & prototype: Create and prototype customer-facing content at all levels of detail (microcopy, conversation flows, in-app help, onboarding guides, error states, and emails).
  • Handle complexity: Design content for multi-step, logic-heavy user experiences.
  • Maintain standards: Set the rules for tone, voice, terminology, and writing patterns, and help maintain our content design style guide.

Content Systems & Operations

  • System development: Own or co-lead the development of our content design system: creating components, reusable patterns, and documentation that is ready for localization.
  • Workflow improvement: Improve how content is handed off, quality-assured, tracked, A/B tested, and analyzed.
  • Tool implementation: Implement tools and processes (like those in Figma or CMS/MDX) to help our content work scale efficiently.

Your Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years building product content in SaaS environments; 3+ years in a content/content strategy role, or having equivalent influence across product teams.
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio with 3+ end-to-end case studies that show how you moved from strategy → cross-functional alignment → execution → measurable results.
  • Complexity: Experience designing content for complicated flows, enterprise-level workflows, or AI/assistant experiences.
  • Leadership: Proven experience running discovery workshops, designing content systems, and working effectively with PMs, engineers, researchers, and GTM teams.
  • Design tools: Comfortable working with Figma and AI tools like ChatGPT.
  • Data savvy: Experience using analytics, A/B testing, and qualitative research to refine and improve content.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and storytelling skills; you can influence senior stakeholders and simplify complex logic into clear copy and diagrams.

Stand Out Qualities:

  • Experience with generative AI / prompt engineering in a product setting.
  • A background in UX research, HCI, linguistics, technical writing, or localization.
  • Experience building or scaling a content design function or content operations (Content Ops) team.
