Business Analyst - (US, Remote)

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. This hybrid role will have a strong focus on business operations while supporting the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function. Reporting to the Manager, FP&A, you will play a crucial role in managing cross-functional tasks, from revenue forecasting and budgeting, and dashboard creation to pricing analysis. What you'll do:

  • Revenue Reporting and Forecasting: Prepare, analyze, and distribute revenue reports to support strategic decision-making and forecasting. Assist in developing revenue forecasts and budgets, working closely with finance and sales teams to ensure accurate projections.

  • Deal Desk Operations: Support the Deal Desk by reviewing and analyzing sales contracts, terms, and pricing strategies to ensure consistency with company policies and leadership goals.

  • Pricing Analysis: Conduct pricing and margin analysis to help optimize margin and identify opportunities for pricing improvements.

  • Creation and Ideation of Sigma Dashboards: Design, implement, and maintain data dashboards in Sigma to provide actionable insights for business performance and decision-making.

  • Billing Review: Collaborate with accounting to review invoices, reconcile billing discrepancies, and ensure alignment with revenue reports.

  • Sales Compensation: Support the setup and maintenance of sales compensation data and calculators, assist with quarter-end reviews and discrepancy resolution.

  • Ad-Hoc Assignments: Take on ad-hoc analyses and special projects as needed to support business operations and financial planning initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience in business operations, financial analysis, or a related field. Prior experience in revenue reporting, forecasting, or deal desk operations is a plus. Internship experience can also be valuable.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail, with experience using tools such as Excel, Sigma, Tableau, and Salesforce. SQL and Netsuite are a plus.

  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and display confidence in proposals and recommendations.

  • Attention to Detail and Problem Solving: Meticulous in data management, reporting, and analysis to ensure accuracy. Ability to identify challenges and propose solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Adaptability and Initiative: Eagerness to take on new challenges and responsibilities with minimal supervision. Willingness to manage a diverse set of responsibilities across business operations and finance, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.

Wurl provides a competitive total compensation package with a pay for performance rewards approach. Base compensation at Wurl is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and other benefits.
