United States - Remote

WeightWatchers is a global digital health company.

We are the #1 doctor-recommended – and most clinically studied – behavioral weight health program in the world. For sixty years, WeightWatchers has helped millions build healthy habits and live happier, healthier lives.

As the science of weight health rapidly evolves, so does WeightWatchers. Today we are developing new clinical pathways for medication access, creating behavioral programs for chronic health conditions, integrating third-party services, and enhancing product personalization.

WeightWatchers has embraced technology, with our mobile app now the  primary tool for most members. While we continue to perfect our digital product, we are also designing new in-person experiences. With these diverse member touchpoints, our potential for impact has never been greater.

We’re looking for a Senior or Staff Android Engineer to join our product engineering team and lead the charge in creating meaningful in-app experiences for our members.

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Data, and Behavioral Science teams to deliver features that support daily habit formation, long-term motivation, and improved health outcomes.
  • Own the implementation of upcoming flagship initiatives
  • Operate with high autonomy and influence: proactively question assumptions, bring new ideas, and champion product quality, performance, and member-centric design.

Who You Are

  • Deep experience in Android development (Kotlin), with a solid grasp of Jetpack Compose, MVVM/Clean Architecture, and modular app structure.
  • Passion for mobile product engineering—especially around improving member experience, usability, and long-term engagement.
  • An independent and critical thinker who brings a strong sense of ownership to their work.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Bonus: Experience working in health, wellness, or behavior-change-driven apps.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Android app development.
  • Deep knowledge of the mobile development lifecycle and architecture best practices.
  • Familiarity with product instrumentation, feature toggling, and progressive rollout systems.
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and the ability to clearly articulate trade-offs and decisions.

Why Join Us

This is your chance to:

  • Build features that make a real difference in people’s lives every day.
  • Help members stay consistent with healthy habits and motivation, backed by behavioral science.
  • Work on a team that values craftsmanship, creativity, and autonomy.
  • Shape the next generation of WeightWatchers’ digital experience during a pivotal company transformation.
