Position Overview
As a Sr. Recruiting Partner, you will focus on hiring for key scientific roles, supporting the growth of our R&D, teams. You will collaborate with scientific leadership and hiring managers to develop tailored recruitment strategies, ensuring we attract the best scientific minds in biotech. You will manage the recruitment process end-to-end, from sourcing candidates with deep scientific expertise to onboarding, ensuring the process is smooth and aligned with company goals. Additionally, you will contribute to improving recruitment workflows and provide mentorship and guidance to recruiting coordinators, supporting a seamless and scalable hiring process.
Please note: This is an onsite contract role based at our Brisbane, Ca. location.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for scientific roles, including positions in discovery biology, computational biology, preclinical research, translational science, and related areas.
- Develop innovative sourcing strategies to identify top talent in biotechnology and life sciences, including outreach through scientific communities, conferences, industry networking, and specialized talent platforms.
- Partner closely with scientific and technical hiring managers to understand detailed role requirements, core competencies, and specific project needs, creating tailored job profiles and recruitment strategies.
- Leverage data and metrics to refine recruitment processes, improve time-to-hire, and ensure alignment with broader business objectives, including quality of hire and retention metrics.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of scientific candidates, both active and passive, with a focus on sourcing candidates from diverse backgrounds and underrepresented groups in the sciences.
- Act as a brand ambassador at industry events, scientific conferences, and academic institutions to promote our mission and values, and build relationships with potential candidates.
- Support the creation and enhancement of diversity and inclusion programs, with a specific focus on bringing diverse talent into scientific roles.
- Provide scientific interview training to hiring managers, ensuring a fair, rigorous, and competency-based candidate evaluation process.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of recruiting experience, with a focus on scientific roles in biotech, pharmaceuticals, or academic research institutions.
- Strong knowledge of scientific roles, including discovery biology, translational medicine, genomics, bioinformatics, and other R&D functions.
- Proven experience using scientific sourcing strategies, including networking within academic and research communities, professional societies, and industry events, as well as utilizing tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, AI-powered sourcing platforms, and scientific job boards.
- Data-driven approach to recruitment, with experience using metrics to optimize hiring performance and improve candidate quality.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with scientific talent and internal stakeholders.
- Passion for biotechnology and a desire to contribute to advancing scientific innovation through strategic talent acquisition.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities shift and business needs evolve
Compensation
The compensation range for this onsite contract role is $100 to $150 per hour.
