Medical Writer

We are looking for a Medical Writer to join our team. You will create accurate, engaging, well-written referenced scientific content for a variety of life sciences training deliverables (e.g., self-study curricula assets, workshops) and represent the scientific team on assigned projects.

You will report into the Associate Scientific Director

What will you do …

Content Creation

  • Research material for assigned projects, including performing literature searches
  • Leverage approved outlines and the support of the senior scientific team to write referenced drafts that are:
    • Medically and scientifically accurate
    • Clear, well-written, and engaging
    • In consideration of the scientific strategy
    • Appropriate to the audience
    • Appropriate to the deliverable type (print, digital, film and workshop)
    • In consideration of the supplied style guide or writing template
  • Infuse instructional design elements (eg, learning goals, practice activities, assessment questions) into written materials with the support of the senior scientific and learning experience design teams
  • Incorporate feedback (internal reviews, client feedback, MLR feedback)
  • Mark up references to support your writing
  • Incorporating copyedit and fact check changes
  • Attend internal and external meetings and develop the skills needed to represent scientific, including answering content-related questions and presenting ideas
  • Collaborate with internal team members from creative, learning experience design, performance, learning delivery, and editorial
  • Manage time to ensure that projects are delivered within the budgeted hours
  • Complete all work within the allocated time and following project specifications

What do you need to have …

  • Must have a graduate degree (PharmD, MS, MD) in the life sciences, pharmacology, or medicine
  • 1+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales training is a bonus
  • Fluency in conducting literature searches
  • Working knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry in the drug development and commercialization processes
