Senior Infrastructure Engineer (GCP / Event Streaming)

You will be:

  • designing and developing infrastructure solutions based on GCP Pub/Sub,
  • building and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable event-driven environments,
  • supporting schema management and data contract implementation across teams,
  • ensuring reliability, auditability, and maintainability of event-driven systems,
  • monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting production environments,
  • collaborating with teams to improve platform stability and operational processes.

 

Your profile:

  • hands-on experience with GCP, especially Pub/Sub,
  • experience working with event-driven architectures and distributed systems,
  • understanding of IAM concepts and messaging patterns such as retries and dead-letter queues/topics,
  • familiarity with monitoring and observability practices,
  • experience with data contracts, Avro, or schema registry solutions,
  • ability to work independently with a strong sense of ownership, while collaborating effectively in international environments,
  • practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery,
  • good communication skills,
  • good command of English (min. B2).
  • Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

 

Nice to have:

  • experience working with large-scale event bus platforms,
  • practical experience with auditability and data governance concepts,
  • familiarity with observability and incident analysis tools,
  • experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work,
  • interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
