Data Analyst / Business Analyst

Bulgaria; Moldavia; Poland; Romania

Xebia is a global AI-first, digital transformation, and engineering partner. With over 25 years of experience and a team of 5,000 professionals across 16 countries, we help organizations design and build scalable products, platforms, and data-driven solutions.

We specialize in Artificial Intelligence, Data and Cloud, Intelligent Automation, and Digital Products, combining deep technical expertise with a strong focus on engineering excellence and a people-first culture.

In the CEE region, we’re a team of nearly 1,000 experts delivering modern applications, data platforms, and AI solutions for clients such as McLaren, Aviva, Deloitte, Spotify, Disney, ING, UPS, Tesco, Truecaller, AllSaints, Volotea, Schmitz Cargobull, Allegro, InPost, and many, many more. We work with leading technologies including AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, and Snowflake, and combine strong engineering culture with a consulting mindset and a continuous focus on growth and knowledge sharing.

You will be:

  • deriving customer groups for migrations based on existing data, flags, and predefined criteria,
  • preparing, validating, and delivering customer data sets to business and technical experts,
  • performing detailed data checks and supporting migration-related decision-making,
  • gradually transitioning data handling from Excel-based workflows to more optimized solutions (e.g. Python-based processing),
  • working closely with delivery and consulting stakeholders, acting as a bridge between business needs and technical feasibility,
  • preparing structured datasets for further presentation to management (presented by other stakeholders),
  • creating and maintaining clear documentation in Confluence to ensure transparency and traceability,
  • supporting international collaboration in an English-speaking environment.

The role does not involve advanced data analytics, statistical modeling, or deriving business insights from customer behavior. Data is used primarily for operational decision-making in the context of migrations, not for value-driven analytics.

Your profile:

  • strong experience in data handling and preparation, especially with large and complex datasets,
  • advanced Excel skills and a clear understanding of its limitations in scalable data processing,
  • practical experience with Python for data processing or a strong motivation to introduce Python-based workflows,
  • solid business analysis skills, with the ability to translate stakeholder needs into concrete data requirements,
  • experience in data validation, filtering, and quality checks,
  • ability to work closely with non-technical stakeholders and compensate for gaps in technical understanding,
  • very good English communication skills in an international environment,
  • experience in documentation and knowledge sharing (e.g. Confluence),
  • experience in system or data migration projects,
  • understanding of structured ways of working with data (processes, repeatability, traceability),
  • ability to independently improve existing ways of working and introduce better practices,
  • experience working with multiple consulting partners and complex stakeholder setups,
  • practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot Chat, or similar) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in analysis and software delivery.

Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Nice to have:

  • basic knowledge of SQL or database concepts (even if not used directly in the project),
  • experience working in large, corporate or enterprise environments,
  • exposure to Salesforce or CRM-related data (even at a conceptual level),
  • experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily analytical and documentation work,
  • interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. automation of analysis tasks, AI-supported documentation, or workflow optimization), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
