Python Developer with GCP Pub/Sub

You will be:

  • designing, developing, and maintaining shared Python libraries used across multiple teams and services,
  • contributing to the development of a schema management toolchain supporting a large-scale distributed platform,
  • improving platform reliability, maintainability, and developer experience,
  • collaborating with engineering teams to define and implement reusable solutions and best practices,
  • supporting observability and monitoring initiatives across distributed systems,
  • contributing to CI/CD processes and software delivery automation.

 

Your profile:

  • 4+ years of experience in Python development,
  • experience designing and maintaining shared libraries, SDKs, or reusable components consumed by multiple teams,
  • hands-on experience with GCP Pub/Sub,
  • practical knowledge of distributed tracing and observability concepts, including OpenTelemetry (OTEL),
  • experience working with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines,
  • understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures,
  • ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code,
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
  • good communication skills in English (min. B2),
  • practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery.
  • Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Nice to have:

  • familiarity with application resilience patterns and progressive rollout strategies,
  • experience working with Avro schemas and schema management solutions,
  • experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work,
  • interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
