You will be:
- investigating and diagnosing bugs in production Python applications,
- implementing code fixes and enhancements for Azure-hosted applications,
- maintaining and improving existing Python codebases,
- refactoring and optimising application code,
- designing, creating and executing automated tests,
- validating fixes in development and staging environments,
- developing and maintaining RESTful APIs and API integrations,
- working with Docker containers and supporting containerised deployments,
- ensuring reliable MQTT communication and message processing,
- monitoring application logs and performance metrics,
- documenting code changes and updating technical documentation,
- participating in code reviews and collaborating with cross-functional teams,
- supporting deployments through Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
Your profile:
- proven experience in Python development and maintenance,
- hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services,
- practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery,
- good knowledge of Docker and containerised applications,
- experience with RESTful APIs and API integrations,
- practical experience with MQTT protocol and messaging systems,
- experience with automated testing using pytest or unittest,
- understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices,
- experience with Git and collaborative development workflows,
- knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud-native applications,
- good understanding of asynchronous programming in Python,
- ability to analyse, troubleshoot and resolve production issues,
- ability to work with existing and legacy codebases,
- attention to detail and commitment to code quality,
- good communication skills and ability to work in a distributed team,
- good command of technical English (at least B2 level).
Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.
Nice to have:

experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work,

interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
