GCP Data Architect

You will be:
- designing and developing a modern data platform based on Google Cloud technologies,
- designing data and application architectures, modelling data flows, creating architectural documentation, and supporting key technology decisions across the platform,
- defining end-to-end data processing solutions, selecting appropriate GCP services,
- designing integrations,
- supporting Disaster Recovery and data-retention mechanisms,
- enabling CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code practices,
- facilitating architecture workshops with technical and business stakeholders.
Your profile:
- proven experience in designing data architectures on Google Cloud Platform,
- experience designing end-to-end data ingestion and processing solutions,
- knowledge of BigQuery and either DBT or Dataproc,
- experience with data modelling and data-flow design,
- understanding of Medallion and Hub & Spoke architecture patterns,
- experience selecting and integrating GCP services such as Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, BigQuery and Composer,
- experience designing synchronous and asynchronous integrations and event-driven architectures,
- knowledge of data-retention, purging and Disaster Recovery concepts,
- experience with GitHub Enterprise Cloud, CI/CD and Terraform,
- ability to create HLD, LLD, ADR documentation and architectural diagrams,
- strong communication skills with the ability to present, justify and defend architectural decisions,
- experience conducting workshops and collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.
Nice to have:
- experience with enterprise-scale cloud data platforms,
- experience working in highly regulated environments,
- familiarity with cloud governance, security and operational best practices.
Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.
