About the job

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Account Manager to manage and grow existing client accounts, fostering strong relationships, and ensuring client satisfaction. Your role will involve understanding client needs, providing strategic IT consulting solutions, and identifying opportunities for account expansion. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in account management, a deep understanding of the IT consulting buisiness, and a proven track record of driving client success. 

Responsibilities

  • Expand and grow client accounts by identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities based on a deep understanding of client business objectives. 
  • Manage existing client accounts, serve as the primary point of contact and build strong relationships with key decision makers and grow existing accounts. 
  • Conduct regular account reviews to assess client satisfaction, identify areas for improvement, and propose appropriate enhancements to meet client needs. 
  • Develop and execute account growth strategies, including account penetration plans, to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth. All this via a systematic account plan approach. 
  • Proactively create opportunities to support our service lines and leverage alliance partners to maximize business and deliver incremental value to customers. 
  • Promote Client development and build relationships with Clients through office visits, presentations, and negotiations  (“Walk the hall” mindset) 
  • Proactively identify client risks or opportunities and help manage the project team to effectively respond. 
  • Utilize strategic client hunting practices, industry/market analysis, internal communication, external promotions, and constant in-depth client analysis to uncover revenue opportunities. 
  • Track vendor agreements and complete accurate invoicing information. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies within the IT sector to proactively offer innovative solutions to clients. 
  • Prepare and deliver client presentations, proposals, and reports that effectively communicate value propositions and showcase the benefits of our IT consulting services. 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, opportunities, and account status in the CRM system. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, computer science, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.  
  • 8 years of account management experience within an IT consulting or technology solutions company. 
  • BFS / Insurance / Retail / Pharma vertical experience is desired but not mandatory 
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully managing and growing client accounts, meeting revenue targets, and driving client satisfaction. 
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to establish trust and credibility with key stakeholders. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex IT concepts and solutions to clients. 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to understand client needs and develop tailored solutions. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Willingness to travel to client locations as required and having a “walk the hall” mindset
