About the Role:

As an Account Executive, Partnership Sales at X Games, your primary responsibility will be to develop and manage new client partnerships, with the overarching goal of driving sales and revenue growth through targeted prospecting and effective partner management strategies. This role demands a deep understanding of the sports and entertainment industries, excellent communication skills, a creative solutions-oriented mindset, and a proven track record of success in media sales and relationship management. Responsibilities:

  • Proven track record of leveraging an extensive, current network of industry contacts and decision-makers to drive new business opportunities and growth.
  • Will be assigned a list of businesses that include both former and current sponsors to further drive revenue, renewals and upsell opportunities.
  • Identify new partnership opportunities and develop strategies to maximize revenue growth and secure long-term commitments.
  • Drive revenue for X Games through partnership sales of all X Games content and events across the calendar.
  • Cultivate business objectives by building and managing client and agency relationships with key decision-makers and client categories.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients (virtually, or in-person with clients), emphasizing the value proposition of X Games products and services.
  • Possess strong listening skills to comprehend client marketing objectives and creative thinking to design comprehensive programs that can achieve those objectives.
  • Negotiate contract terms and establish agreements for linear, streaming, social, and activation packages with new clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and the successful delivery of contractual obligations across all areas.
  • Keep track of and analyze CRM deal flow, providing regular reports and insights to management.
  • Manage client relationships and expectations on-site at our major events for execution and fulfillment of contractual obligations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitors to identify new business opportunities. Deep understanding of the sports and entertainment ecosystem, including brands, agencies, and key players in the industry.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5-7+ years of direct sales experience, preferably within multimedia, sports and entertainment, or related industries. 
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work collaboratively and inspire teams. 
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong relationship building, negotiation, and presentation skills. 
  • Passion for action sports and related cultural touch points.  
  • Proficient in Microsoft, Google and CRM software suite applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
