SUMMARY: 

We're seeking a Manager, Digital Architect to join our growing IT team and help shape the future of technology at Xilio. This role is ideal for an emerging technology leader who thrives on variety, loves solving complex problems, and wants to make a meaningful impact across all aspects of our technology ecosystem. You'll work directly with our CIO in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your contributions will directly enable scientific breakthroughs.

This position balances strategic thinking with hands-on execution across four core areas that define modern IT excellence. You'll have the opportunity to grow your management skills while building expertise in cutting-edge technologies that support life sciences innovation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Projects & Strategic Development (30%)
    • You'll take ownership of technology initiatives from conception to completion, transforming innovative ideas into practical solutions that advance our mission. This includes:
      • Leading and supporting cross-functional technology projects that support research, clinical, and business operations
      • Evaluating emerging technologies and determining their potential value for our organization
      • Building custom solutions when commercial options don't meet our unique needs
      • Managing project timelines, stakeholder communications, and deliverable quality
      • Translating complex technical concepts into accessible language for diverse audiences
      • Collaborating with department leaders to identify technology needs and opportunities
      • Creating project documentation and post-implementation assessments to drive continuous improvement
  • Operations & Infrastructure (20%)
    • You'll ensure our technology foundation is robust, secure, and scalable to support our growing organization. This includes:
      • Monitoring and maintaining critical systems including cloud environments, networks, and security infrastructure
      • Managing vendor relationships and technology procurement decisions
      • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and security best practices
  • Process & Innovation (20%)
    • You'll drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency through technology:
      • Researching and implementing automation solutions that eliminate manual, repetitive tasks
      • Exploring artificial intelligence and machine learning applications for business processes
      • Designing and optimizing workflows that improve productivity across departments
      • Building proof-of-concept solutions to validate new approaches before full implementation
  • Employee Experience & Service (30%)
    • You'll be a technology advocate and problem-solver for our team, ensuring everyone has the tools and support they need to excel:
      • Providing technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
      • Managing employee technology lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding
      • Creating training materials and conducting sessions on new tools and best practices
      • Developing self-service resources that empower users to resolve common issues independently
      • Gathering feedback and implementing improvements to enhance the overall technology experience
      • Leading incident management and resolution processes
      • Building relationships across departments to understand and anticipate technology needs
