
Senior Procurement Specialist
The Senior Procurement Specialist (SPS) supports the Procurement Agent Manager (PAM), manages high-value/complex procurement packages, prepares/reviews procurement documentation, and mentors other team members.
Candidate needs to be local to Zambia
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Management, Law, Procurement, Engineering, Business, Finance, Public Administration or related field — OR — an internationally recognized procurement qualification or certification (NIGP-CPP, CPPO, CSCP, MCIPS, CPSM, CPSD)
- Minimum 8 years of relevant public procurement practitioner experience
- Substantial experience (in at least 2 projects) developing and/or reviewing procurement documents for all categories (goods, works, services), including bidding documents, evaluation reports, and contracts; experience with contract administration and monitoring
- Experience conducting or managing procurements under at least 2 donor-funded regulatory frameworks (e.g., World Bank, ADB, AfDB); MCC experience is an advantage
- Fluency in written and spoken English required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Competency in Microsoft Office suite
Specific Skills & Competencies:
- In-depth understanding of procurement processes and contract management.
- Document drafting, evaluation, and reporting.
- Familiarity with international procurement standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluency in English; competency in Microsoft Office.
