
General Senior Procurement Expert
FIDIC Senior Procurement Expert (Key)— large civil works procurement and contract administration using the FIDIC (Fédération Internationale des Ingénieurs-Conseils) framework/contracts suite; donor funded projects (e.g., World Bank, ADB, MCC).
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in a discipline relevant to the individual's technical role (e.g.,Procurement, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Project Management, International Development, ICT, or other field directly related to the Key position's responsibilities).
Minimum Experience:
- At least 10 years of progressive, role‑relevant professional experience in the technical area corresponding to the assigned Key position.
- Demonstrated experience working on or supporting international donor‑funded projects, including responsibility for technical implementation, advisory support, reporting, policy, or oversight.
- Experience providing technical leadership or supervision, including mentoring, capacity building, or oversight of government counterparts, consultants, or contractors.
- Evidence of hands‑on experience contributing to or leading technical deliverables, such as assessments, analyses, training materials, operational documents, procurement packages, or other outputs aligned with the assigned Key function.
- Experience working in or supporting activities in developing country environments, preferably with multiple overseas assignments.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in French preferred when relevant to the assignment.
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally for project implementation.
- Experience with U.S. Government FAR‑based procurement may be considered supplementary but does not substitute for required international donor‑funded experience.
Desired / Role‑Relevant Training and Experience:
Training and/or certifications consistent with the assigned Key role (e.g., procurement training, FIDIC, sector‑specific credentials, IT/ICT certifications, infrastructure‑related training, market outreach experience, or other technical specializations).
