Senior QA Engineer - India (Remote)

Job Summary: 

The individual will design, create, test, and deploy test-driven solutions across multiple technology domains Candidate must demonstrate strong logical and creative problem-solving abilities, good oral and written communication, and excellent analytical skills.   

About the Role:

  • Designing, writing, and executing automated test scripts for API Automation 
  • Maintaining and enhancing existing automated test scripts and frameworks to improve test efficiency and coverage 
  • Well versed with UI & back-end automation testing 
  • Contributing to the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes by integrating automated tests into build pipelines 
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends and best practices in test automation and applying them to improve test development and execution processes 
  • Developing Quality Management plans and test strategy for each sprint/release, review test plans and conduct peer reviews of plans & test cases 
  • Working with Product owners to ensure business requirements are adequate & ensure test cases are developed according to standards for both manual and automated 
  • Update Quality Tools with requirement traceability, test cases, test sets and defects according to QA standards & report status on the QA review report 
  • Hands on test creation and execution of user stories (Smoke, Functional Integration, Regression testing) and logging defects 
  • Engage Development Team in defect resolution & Lead defect review calls 
  • Assisting Testing with other groups for Non-functional QA phases (Performance, Security, Accessibility) 
  • Provide guidance around QA strategies, proactive governance, and risk management for overall quality delivery of platform applications. Working collaboratively across scrums teams and testing team for our partner BUs to ensure success by applying best practice principles, and techniques 
  • Self-Development and Training 

  Education and Experience: 

  • B S. /B.A. or M.A. /M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline 
  • 7+ years overall experience for the execution and control of all aspects of testing 
  • Expertise in Web based and Mobile testing 
  • Experience with testing RESTful micro-services architecture on the cloud 
  • Understanding of cloud database, Relational and NoSQL concepts (DynamoDB, Aurora) including caching (ElastiCache) 

  Technical Qualifications: 

  •  Good working knowledge of test automation processes, concepts, and tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Jmeter, FitNesse, Postman, SoapUI, Protractor, Cucumber and Typescripting 
  • Experience with multiple development methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid) & different tools (JIRA, Confluence, MIRO) 
  • Experience with ETL (e.g. DataStage, Informatica) data sourcing, transformation and validation. 
  • Experience with Rest API automation 
  • Experience with Unix and scripting 
  • Experience developing and executing fast test scripts that are easily reusable and maintainable. 
  • Experience with Integrating into CI/CD pipelines 
  • Working knowledge with the following AWS and technologies (e.g., Lambda, DynamoDB, Mongo, Glue, Athena, Parquet file format ). 

Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and relevant certifications.
