Director of Marketing

We are seeking a Director of Marketing to lead strategic initiatives that drive revenue growth, deepen customer relationships, and expand our supplier network. This role blends strategic planning with hands-on execution across customer lifecycle marketing, sales enablement, event and tradeshow marketing, and supplier marketing.

Responsibilities

Customer Lifecycle Marketing

  • Serve as the marketing stakeholder of the Xometry customer journey strategy—from first-order to engagement and retention, including upsell, and advocacy.
  • Design and execute segmented, multi-channel campaigns to drive repeat purchases, upsells, and long-term loyalty.
  • Leverage customer data and behavioral insights to optimize touchpoints, reduce churn, and improve lifetime value.
  • Partner with Product, Sales, and Marketing counterparts to deliver an integrated, personalized customer experience.

Sales Enablement

  • Partner with Sales leadership to develop tools, content, and programs that help teams convert leads and drive expansion.
  • Build messaging frameworks, pitch decks, case studies, and competitive insights to strengthen sales conversations.
  • Track sales enablement effectiveness through usage and continuously refine resources for maximum impact.

Supplier Marketing

  • Evolve marketing programs to attract, retain, and engage suppliers in the Xometry network.
  • Create campaigns and educational content to help suppliers grow capabilities, win more orders, and improve performance.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Product teams to align messaging and highlight supplier value.

People Leadership

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 5 existing direct reports across the marketing functions covered in this scope
  • Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and support career growth for team members.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented team culture.
  • Allocate resources effectively, balancing team workloads and priorities.
  • Lead by example in maintaining high performance standards and accountability.
  • Represent marketing as a strong stakeholder in cross-functional projects in collaboration with Product, Operations, Sales and others. 

Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years in B2B marketing, with at least 6 years in a leadership role; experience in manufacturing, SaaS, or digital marketplace environments strongly preferred.
  • Customer Marketing Expertise: Demonstrated success in building and scaling customer lifecycle programs that drive retention, cross-sell, upsell, and advocacy.
  • Sales Enablement Skills: Proven ability to develop sales tools, playbooks, and training programs that measurably improve sales performance.
  • Supplier/Partner Marketing: Experience creating programs that engage and grow supplier or partner ecosystems.
  • Strategic Thinker & Hands-On Executor: Ability to define high-level strategy while rolling up sleeves to drive execution.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Proficient in campaign measurement, ROI analysis, and using analytics tools to guide marketing decisions.
  • Digital Marketing Tools: Skilled in CRM (Salesforce), marketing automation platforms (HubSpot), and analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Looker, or similar).
  • Content & Messaging Development: Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate technical offerings into clear, compelling value propositions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Adept at working with Product, Sales, and Operations teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Experience managing high-performing teams, mentoring talent, and fostering a results-driven, collaborative culture.
  • Budget & Vendor Management: Proven ability to manage multi-channel marketing budgets and negotiate with agencies and event vendors.
  • Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities can shift quickly.
