Xometry has an opportunity for a Director of Sales for our Marketplace Services Division. The Director will oversee our US Account Development teams. This individual will continue to transform this sales organization into high performing teams that drive top-line revenue growth through acquisition and conversion of new business accounts. The individual should have demonstrated experience to successfully develop and manage an account strategy that supports a transactional sales model to fully understand the needs of the customers while adapting the sales model and team to deliver against targets. The individual should have a track record of building loyal strong customer relationships at the senior level.

To achieve sales growth objectives, this position requires an inspiring and results driven leader, who is well respected by the team and customers and leads by excellent example. As is important in a young company, this leader willingly moves between hands-on execution and executive vision shaping. The successful candidate for this position will bring a proven track record for creating and accelerating top-line revenue growth, preferably at fast growing companies. By leveraging data and analyzing trends, this senior leader can identify sales opportunities that align with company objectives and create deep customer value.

The Director of Sales will regularly collaborate extensively with internal departments to continually enhance the customer experience.  Most importantly you will be driving sales, increasing brand awareness, and growing revenues from a diverse customer base within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Strategic Leadership: Drive the sales strategy, setting clear goals and KPIs to achieve revenue targets.

  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Process Enhancement: Continuously optimize the sales process to ensure efficiency and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Lead Generation: Partner with Marketing Acquisition team to develop and implement strategies for generating inbound leads through various channels, such as Xometry online platforms and referrals.
  • Conversion Optimization: Analyze sales funnel metrics to identify bottlenecks and opportunities, taking proactive measures to improve conversion rates.
  • Customer Insights: Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to provide valuable insights for product development and marketing campaigns.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports to the leadership team, highlighting sales performance, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and Implement Conversion Strategies: Develop comprehensive conversion strategies and tactics to transform leads into acquisition of new customer companies. Collaborate with the marketing team to align strategies with overall marketing objectives.
  • Competitor Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends and conduct regular competitor analysis to identify gaps and opportunities in the market. Develop strategies to stay ahead of the competition.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a sales management role with multi-level selling and demonstrated consistent overachievement record of sales success
  • Experience in realigning sales teams to focus on account strategy and rapid growth
  • Excellent communications skills and cross-functional collaboration with partners in Marketing, Operations, Product and Engineering
  • Able to make informed, educated and timely decisions, under pressure
  • Demonstrated experience in improving and implementing processes
  • This position may require less than 30% travel within the continental US
  • Must be able to work onsite 3 days a week in our office

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND:

  • Prior experience working at high growth company
  • Experience working in distributive manufacturing, technology or service industry
  • Undergraduate Degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Engineering or other technical specialization
  • Recruited, built teams and have a strong network of sales professionals
