The Content Strategy Associate supports the development and execution of content marketing strategies that align with client goals—primarily in B2B and industrial sectors. This role focuses on developing and executing content strategies with support from Specialists and Managers as needed. Associates collaborate closely with SEO, Client Services, and vendors to ensure content meets strategic goals, drives measurable results, and aligns with brand voice. Associates are expected to manage projects independently and contribute to the continuous improvement of client programs.

 The Associate learns to use AI tools, SEO best practices, and analytics platforms to assist in content planning, review, and optimization.

 

What you'll be doing as a Content Strategy Associate: 

  • Fully own the content strategy for assigned client accounts, developing content outlines using AI tools and SEO insights, ensuring alignment with client strategy, brand voice, and keyword priorities.
  • Conduct basic keyword research and gather reference materials for vendor use.
  • Review vendor drafts for grammar, formatting, brand consistency, SEO best practices, and strategic alignment. Applying edits yourself and providing clear, actionable feedback to vendors.
  • Collect and organize performance data from analytics tools (e.g., SEMrush, Google Analytics) for team review.
  • Document project details, maintain status updates, and ensure deliverables are submitted on time.
  • Participate in internal meetings to understand strategy direction and process.
  • Build foundational skills in B2B content marketing, SEO, and analytics through on-the-job learning.
  • Oversee content production timelines, ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.

What you bring to our team:

  • 2-4 years of experience in content marketing, editorial strategy, or client-facing marketing roles (agency experience preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field preferred.
  • Foundational understanding of content marketing principles, SEO, and digital channels.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and independently manage multiple client accounts, balancing strategic priorities, deadlines, and cross-team collaboration while learning new tools and processes as needed.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously
  • Experience working with content vendors or freelance writers
  • Comfort using or learning AI tools for content generation, ideation, and analysis

 

Nice-to-have experience:

  • B2B and/or industrial/manufacturing industry knowledge 
  • Experience using SEO tools (e.g.,  SEMRush, Google Search Console), Data Studio reporting from Google, and/or A/B testing software
  • Experience using marketing automation platform tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce Account Engagement, etc.)
  • Certifications: Hubspot (email, Inbound), Google Analytics, Google Ads, Asana, and/or project management 


The estimated base salary range for new hires into this role is $78,000- $100,000 annually.
