Director, Marketplace Marketing

Lexington, KY

Xometry (NASDAQ: XMTR) powers the industries of today and tomorrow by connecting the people with big ideas to the manufacturers who can bring them to life. Xometry’s digital marketplace gives manufacturers the critical resources they need to grow their business while also making it easy for buyers at Fortune 1000 companies to tap into global manufacturing capacity.

Xometry runs an AI-powered marketplace that connects buyers who need custom manufactured parts with a global network of manufacturing partners. The Director, Marketplace Marketing owns the marketing that drives demand on both sides. You turn buyer interest into sales-ready leads, grow revenue within existing customer accounts, and recruit, activate and retain the manufacturing partners who fulfill the work. You set the strategy, work cross-functionally on execution, and stay hands-on in the programs that deliver them. You will manage a team of 5–6 marketers.

How You’ll Contribute:

Buyer Demand and Account Growth

  • Lead Generation and Nurture: Own our marketing qualified lead (MQL) program from first engagement through qualification and hand-off to Sales. Set conversion targets with Sales, improve nurture programs, and work with Marketing Technology on lead data quality.
  • Customer Advocacy and Account Expansion: Set the strategy for growing existing accounts, from onboarding through long-term retention. Build referral, review and reference programs that turn satisfied buyers into advocates.
  • Sales Enablement: Deliver on-brand, insight-driven messaging, proof points and sales materials that the Sales team actually uses. You will be Sales’ primary partner in Marketing.

Supplier Marketing

  • Strategy and Reporting: Own partner marketing strategy, planning and results against global partner recruitment targets.
  • Supplier Acquisition: Build multi-channel programs to acquire new manufacturing partners and win back lapsed ones.
  • Reputation: Strengthen Xometry’s reputation among manufacturers through content partnerships, industry presence and PR plans built with Communications.
  • Activation, Engagement and Retention: Help new partners complete onboarding and take their first jobs, keep them engaged and accepting work, and reduce the number who leave the network.
  • Global Alignment: Work with our international partner marketing team so insights and assets are developed together and adapted for local markets.
  • Network Partnership: Be the primary marketing partner to the team that manages our supplier network.

Across Both Sides of the Marketplace

  • Customer Stories: Build a steady pipeline of buyer and partner stories that fuel Sales, Content and Campaigns.
  • Events: Set event strategy for buyer and partner audiences.
  • Budget: Manage the commercial marketing budget and invoice accuracy.

What You’ll Bring to Xometry:

  • 12+ years in B2B marketing, including 5+ leading teams. Marketplace, SaaS or technology experience strongly preferred. Manufacturing familiarity is a plus.
  • Depth in growth marketing: lead generation and qualification, nurture design and conversion, and a record of working side by side with Sales.
  • Skilled collaborator and influencer, ability to work cross-functionally across Sales, Product, Operations, and Marketing to align around growth priorities
  • Excellent communicator, able to translate complex offerings into compelling, audience-relevant value propositions
  • Market-Centric Mindset: Highly skilled at capturing and applying the "voice of the market" to ensure all marketing efforts resonate with the target audience
  • Experience creating engagement programs that scale participation and value
  • Strong creative sensibility, with the ability to evaluate and guide campaign concepts, messaging, and storytelling
  • Solid analytical capabilities; skilled at applying data, research, and dashboards to optimize programs and demonstrate ROI
  • Proficiency with the latest AI and Martech tools (ie, Claude, Gemini, Salesforce, HubSpot, Looker).
  • Strong people leader with experience developing managers and building high-performing teams
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment; able to balance near-term priorities with long-term brand building
