Technical Engineering Advisor with German

About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Engineering Advisor / DFM Engineer to support product development and manufacturing processes. In this role, you will act as a key link between customers, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring manufacturability of designs and successful transition into production.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews for high-end customer orders
- Analyze and support optimization of part designs to ensure manufacturability
- Conduct customer communication via phone and video calls regarding design and production issues
- Maintain written communication with customers for problem-solving and technical clarification
- Collaborate with partners and suppliers (written, phone, video) to resolve manufacturability challenges
- Provide expertise in complaint handling (excluding formal RMA cases)
- Support continuous improvement of manufacturing and engineering processes
- Ensure clear and timely resolution of technical production issues
Requirements
Experience
- 7+ years of experience in CNC machining and/or sheet metal manufacturing
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC, sheet metal fabrication)
- Experience working with technical drawings and design-related problem solving
Languages
- Fluent and professional English
- Fluent and professional German

Working Conditions
- Working hours: CET (8:00–17:00 or 9:00–18:00)
- Remote work: possible (Germany / Poland / Bulgaria) or office-based (Munich)

- Holiday calendar: local law / Bavarian public holidays
Additional Information
- This role is initially planned as a replacement for approximately 1 year
- Extension is possible depending on team structure and business needs
