Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in managing the technical aspects of customized part orders, ensuring smooth communication between customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full technical ownership and supervision from customer order to customer feedback on finished products
- Conducting a manufacturability assessment of parts from a technical perspective, and defining the manufacturing criterias and risks in the system.
- Preparing technical files in a format that can be shared with production partners
- Oversee and manage engineering cases from customer orders to final product delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to supplier quality and order fulfillment.
- Apply engineering knowledge to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality parts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and quality.
- Maintain clear documentation and communication with stakeholders throughout the order process.
- Conduct visits to customers and suppliers to understand technical needs and evaluate products.
This role will involve a mix of case management, process improvement, and teamwork, ensuring successful delivery of customer orders while upholding quality standards.
What it takes:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a Technical related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of related experience, preferably in manufacturing or operations
- Proficiency in English
- Working knowledge of and/or education, skills, and experience associated with manufacturing processes, engineering drawings requirements mechanical and electrical inspection methods.
- Strong knowledge about CNC machining, sheet metal applications and their succeeding processes (EDM, Coating, etc.).
- Knowledge about GD&T tolerances and production methods tolerance capabilities.
- Capable to give design feed-backs and able to use CAD.
- Capable of performing root cause analysis and identifying solutions to complex problems.
- A self-starter, who works independently, and can drive actions to completion.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Able to multitask, meet deadlines and support all supplier quality field activities.
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written) + ability to manage up and to the side.
