Your impact and responsibilities
- Transform visiting the eye doctor into an enjoyable and delightful experience for a BILLION people
- Tackle challenges to provide responsive and engaging customer experiences while ensuring user data is being handled securely and with care
- Design, implement, and test brand new product features having top-line business impact and performance (delightful customer facing features and internal tools improving productivity)
- Build tools to deploy, monitor, and manage our applications
- Conduct code reviews and provide regular feedback to your team
- Keep up to date with the latest web technologies and infrastructure designs
What we’re looking for
- BS/MS in CS, related technical field, or equivalent industry experience
- 5+ years of object oriented programming experience in a professional environment
- 3+ years of web development experience
- 3+ years of CI/CD and code push tools experience
- Experience building secure, production-level, backend infrastructure
- Experience working with AWS services (e.g. S3, ElasticBeanstalk, EC2)
- Experience in web technologies such as ES6, React, Node, Redux, jQuery, Webpack, Babel, SCSS
- Passion for creating great user experiences
- Ability to work in a cross functional environment (non-engineers such as designers, doctors, and end customers)
- Self-starter, adaptable, coachable, and excited to work in a fast-moving startup environment
- Our team is Hybrid in our San Carlos Office

- Former founder or early engineer at a startup
- Mobile development experience
- Experience working with Augmented Reality

CA Pay Range
$120,000 - $170,000 USD
