About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and analytical Revenue Finance Manager to join X’s Revenue Finance team, where you will drive critical insights into our business through sophisticated financial modeling and strong stakeholder relationships. In this role, you will partner with senior management and front-line sales to analyze revenue drivers, optimize growth strategies, and influence data-driven decisions. Ideal candidates are adept at navigating complex datasets, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and bring a passion for delivering actionable insights that shape X’s revenue success on a global scale.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain financial models to analyze complex business issues, including revenue forecasting, market sizing, compensation structures, and product launches.
  • Analyze financial performance relative to advertiser needs, delivering compelling, data-driven cases for action to senior sales management.
  • Derive actionable insights from sales and metrics data to inform and drive sales strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales management and Sales Ops to develop revenue growth plans, set financial and operating targets, and determine optimal resource requirements.
  • Leverage metrics and analytics to identify growth risks and opportunities, influencing business partners to make timely, informed decisions.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to create, draft, and communicate policies that streamline operations and enhance decision-making.
  • Work with large datasets to synthesize insights and present actionable recommendations to executives.
  • Design and implement reporting tools to empower business partners with clear, actionable data.
  • Develop impactful presentations and analyses that tell a compelling story focused on insights, not just data.
  • Streamline processes and increase team efficiency through automation and outsourcing initiatives.
  • Serve as a key strategic partner to senior sales leadership in Japan, collaborating seamlessly with global Sales Finance team members.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in both Japanese and English to effectively communicate with stakeholders in bilingual environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record.
  • At least 10 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, or FP&A, preferably within the tech industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct complex ROI analysis and drive strategic financial outcomes.
  • Proven experience writing SQL queries and extracting data from relational databases.
  • Strong ability to collaborate across functions and influence senior business partners effectively.
  • Superior skills in Excel/Google Sheets and financial modeling.
  • Experience manipulating complex and large datasets to derive meaningful insights.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in ad sales, ad tech, or other advertising-related industries.
  • Proficiency in Tableau, R, Python, or Git for advanced data analysis and visualization.
  • Knowledge of the digital advertising space, with familiarity in social media platforms as a plus.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for identifying growth opportunities and driving impact.
  • Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to translate data into compelling narratives for executives.
  • A sense of adaptability and a touch of humor to thrive in a dynamic, high-stakes environment.
