Yalo is seeking a highly adaptable and innovative Quality Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will play a meaningful part in upholding the highest quality standards for our products, working in close collaboration with engineers, product partners, and designers.

As a key member of our QA team, you will not only implement functional and test automation tasks but also actively shape the future of QA practices across all Yalo products. What are the activities of a QA Engineer?

  • Champion QA best practices across the STLC and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, infrastructure, and tooling.
  • Integrate early QA activities into the SDLC to ensure quality from the start.
  • Guarantee comprehensive test coverage across Unit, Integration, Acceptance, System, Regression, UAT, Security, and Performance testing.
  • Analyze product requirements and technical documentation to design and execute detailed test strategies, test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
  • Validate multilingual (English/Spanish) experiences to ensure accurate localization and usability
  • Document bugs with clear and reproducible steps, and track debugging efforts through resolution.
  • Analyze test results and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Provide bilingual reporting on risks, coverage, progress, and quality outcomes.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and scripts (primarily in Python).
  • Create and maintain automated test suites (smoke, sanity, regression) to minimize repetitive manual work.
  • Integrate automated suites into CI/CD pipelines
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in automation architecture, coding standards, and best practices.
  • Support BDD workflows using Behave or Cucumber.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
  • At least 3 to 6 years of experience as a QA Engineer with a strong understanding of STLC and QA methodologies.
  • 3+ years of experience building automation frameworks and writing automated tests in Python (UI, APIs , load and/or performance testing).
  • JS/TS is nice to have
  • Practical knowledge of Git/GitHub for version control and collaboration..
  • Good experience with testing tools like Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or similar
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation execution through tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.
  • Experience testing localized/multilingual applications.
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
